Decrees are Falling from Heaven

Decrees are Falling from Heaven
Doug Addison
July 21, 2009

Last April I was talking on the telephone with Bob Jones who told me that he was in Heaven and saw that books were being reconciled regarding people’s destinies. A short while later I was talking with Larry Randolph who said that he saw the court of Heaven in session and there are things about our future that have not been determined as of yet. This explains why so many people feel frustrated and uncertain right now. In my life, I know the direction that God wants me to go, but the specific steps for this new season have not been clarified. We are in a time of transition in which the way we used to do things is not working as effectively as it once did. We are living in a paradox of the old not working and the new having not yet been fully revealed.

Understanding God’s will for our lives is sometimes easier than knowing His timing. The most common way that God reveals His will is through His written word. In 1988 God spoke to me about my life calling through Isaiah 61:1-2, declaring to me that my ultimate destiny was to preach the good news and get people freed from the darkness. Though I began preparing myself immediately, the actual timing of going into full-time ministry did not happen for another ten years.

God will also reveal His destiny to us through prophetic promises, dreams, visions, and spiritual experiences. Many people have these promises but have difficulty understanding the timing and details of the prophetic words. If you have words spoken over your life that you have not seen come to pass, then pray and ask God to show you which promises you should focus on and which ones may be no longer valid based on circumstances. Prophecy can be subjective and it requires listening to God and getting wisdom from others to determine your steps. God will always confirm directive words through several different means so that you will not make a major decision based on one prophetic word.

On Monday, June 29, 2009, while praying I experienced an extraordinary “open heaven” in my house. Suddenly it was if I had a direct connection with God and I knew His heart and what and how to pray. It went on for about 30 minutes then the intensity lifted. During the experience I was reminded of many promises that God has made to me and felt a new strength and authority to speak and command these promises into existence.

A few hours later I had an unexpected visitation. Suddenly a piece of paper literally appeared in mid-air and dropped to the floor and disappeared. It happened so fast that I did not have time to take it all in. It was very real and was a parchment with what appeared to have gold or bronze trim. I was not able to make out any writing on it, as it went as fast as it came. God spoke to me that the paper was a “decree from Heaven” regarding the prayers that I had been praying. He told me that my prayers were heard and He issued orders to carry them out.

Psalms 2:7-8 NIV
I will proclaim the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”

Decrees from Heaven are now falling upon God’s people to take hold of their inheritance. There has been a balancing of the books in Heaven and those who have been robbed by the enemy are now being repaid. Those who have robbed and oppressed people will get their repayment as well. Where there has been injustice God is bringing justice. The enemy does not want us to see this so our circumstances will look radically opposite. We must press into God right now and claim all that God has for us.

Interestingly, this experience happened on the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul which honors the Martyrs of the Church. Martyrdom or the killing of the Saints was a great injustice. The enemy has been attacking and robbing Christians of their destinies. This has been in the areas of finances, health, marriages, relationships, ministries, businesses, and emotions. It is time to say “No more!”

The Year of Jubilee began last September 15th,2008, the day of the largest corporate bankruptcy in U.S. history. We are in the final few months of a spiritual release from Heaven. There has been a shake up in the natural realm that is symbolic of the supernatural. God is issuing bailout orders from Heaven. From now through September 2009, it is a time to press in and reclaim our losses.

We are in a strategic time that is similar to that of David in 1 Samuel 30. David had a prophetic promise to be king and was anointed by Samuel, but his timing had not yet come. King Saul had been trying to kill David and then the enemy came and stole their possessions, families and burned their city to the ground. David was greatly distressed but he encouraged himself in the Lord. They recovered everything and things changed at that point and David went from running to a new place of ruling and authority. Just because God declared that David would be King, it did not happen automatically. David had to get up and go fight for it against all odds. Many people today do not understand this and are sitting back waiting for God to do it for them. It is time to encourage ourselves in the Lord and not pull back. It is time to no longer believe the lies of the enemy but to grab hold of our only reality, which is God’s Word and will for our lives. It is time to pursue! This is truly an exciting time to be alive!

We saw an immediate turn around in our ministry by praying the following daily for a few weeks:
• God reveal what promises are for now and what are for later (timing)
• Show us what the enemy does not want us to see (discernment)
• God, allow us to be seen as You see us, not as the enemy wants us to be seen (favor)
• Repay and release what was stolen and held back by the enemy (justice)
• Show us how to practically respond (wisdom)

I have been wanting to find out more about decrees and I found your site here. This is why:
I don’t know if you call this a vision or a dream. The LORD has been giving me this verse Job 22:28. It basically says that you make decision on something and decree it and the Lord will see it comes to pass. That is awesome. I heard that verse in my sleep. Then I would begin to see pictures of things and people I have been praying for. I would then decree what I had been asking God for. Then I saw this big door and all the things that had been decreed were written on notes and then nailed to the door.

I wanted to tell you how much encouragement I got from this post which i read first on the Elijah List. I lost my husband in march 2003, leaving me 4 months pregnant and 2 little girls. Before I met him, he had served in the Air Force and when he got sick with Lou Gehrig’s disease, the VA neurologist told us to file a service connected claim. Because of the rules we got denied, and when he died the claim was switched over to a widows compensation claim. 6 yrs have come and gone trying to get them to approve this. The same time you wrote this, I received an article from the newspaper that the studies were completed and the ruling on whether ALS was service connected was changed last sept….the year of Jubilee. 2 months later, I received news that the Appeal board has approved my claim, they are now taking responsiblity for the lose my family has had.My kids will now be taken care of for the time my late husband gave our country in service. For those who would not agree with Doug saying the “books are being balanced”, I’m here to tell you that, that is exactly what God is doing in my life. Thank you Doug, for your obedience to share with us what God was telling you. It increased my faith at the time i needed it the most and gave me the strength to pray in my “justice”!!!! God bless you.

I married a different kind of a prophet (no need to go deeper into it, but the whole thing has managed to keep me and my daughter under tremendous pressure). We totally understand the word about “reclaiming what was lost” as the whole situation managed to affect also my old parents and take most of their pension for years to help me cope with the sudden challenge (that happened truly as an impact of the decision of another, we ended up homeless and empty-handed and truly it was not first such event in our life, when my daughter was 4, my brother told me to choose whether the Lord or home, we had to move out to the street and begin with just one pair of clothes we wore, I was a full time preacher then and worked solely of faith, looking at the Lord and His Word alone as our only tangible aid and He did huge miracles).
I suffered enormous loss in every imaginable area. My GP told last autumn I was going to die (I almost worked myself to death in order to keep up with all the financial responsibilities and the whole ordeal targeted my spirit and ministry first and foremost. My husband married another (who had the manifestations of “Jesus” who told her that God wanted to make her marry my married husband, well, everything in my marriage happened in that kind of supernatural dimension).

And currently we are facing our most financially challenging month where I need to pay off about £7500 or due to banking logics the sum for my mortgage of 29 000 dollars could be made in about a month 26 times bigger due to certain Swedish banking logics…while I have been struggling to cope with just the mere monthly responsibilities, none of what I had before my marriage. I have been trusting in Him and living in the supernatural every single day. And that word and especially the reclaiming part managed to minister new hope and courage to us, as I must trust the Lord for every tiny thing, and from that relatively low place where I had to begin with my daughter our life anew in a new land and with just 2 bagfuls only a year ago the challenge is enormous. But not so for the Lord. I do believe.

    Doug,
I just read this..thank you for sharing this..Chuck Pierce has been prophesying some very similar things..I have been praying for restoring what was lost..yes…I’ve lost some things too..I had to give back a 250K grant for a school I was going to start..i felt like it was aborted and the enemy just came in to destroy…and both my husband and I also lost jobs with good salaries in March 2006…it was totally unexpected….it’s our response and heart I believe the Lord looks at when those things happen..it’s been a journey of faith…
recently though.the Lord has me praying for restoration of the land the enemy stole..so that’s what we’re praying…

Welcome back to CA. Thank you so much for this revelation and the one you post regarding the deceiving spirit that was released in 2005. Me and my husband suffered a lot of lost the past few years. He started to pray for “pursue, overtake and recover all” (1Sam. 30:8)) since the beginning of this year. Your revelation is a confirmation and we will keep pressing on. Thanks again for your ministry!!

Doug, what a great word for all of us! We too, are in “transition”, we have been fasting and praying for a major breakthrough in all the areas you mentioned. We have had major prophecies concerning each and every area of our lives for “huge” things to come!
MY question is… I hear people talking about how this is the year of Jubilee, is it actually the year from the Jewish calendar or are we “divinely calling it in?” (either way is fine!) I definitely believe in Jubilee and all it entails. Please, let me know! Keep it up!

This is actually the official Jewish Year of Jubilee, not a spiritual one. I turned 50 in the Year of Jubilee, the only positive thing about being 50 :O). One aspect is the cancelation of debt or the ability to radically reduce your debt. We got an offer on our house (without putting it on the market) a few days after Sept 15, and we made money during the economic down turn and are now nearly debt free. God is so good and we can expect some more great and wild things to come our way. I’m look for the “up turn” not down turn in the US. It is all in how you look at things.

Doug, Just found your site and appreciate your heart and encouragement, to press in. We are in a very hard time, but, through several dreams and other things, the Lord has encouraged us to keep on. But, I don’t want to miss where we’re suppossed to be going or what we’re suppossed to be doing. Any suggestions on how not to miss it? Maybe, we’re just being bombared with anxiety.
Also, you spoke to us in Dover, Ohio a year ago or so and told us that our son (now 16) would soon see white flashes of light and that that would be an angel.
Well, he came out the other day and said he saw a bright flash of light in his side vision. Is that what you were talking about?
    Thanks so much.

Decrees are falling from Heaven!!! This is cause for great joy and worship!!! (even in the midst of our trials ;-))) I cannot count how many times recently I’ve opened my Bible to read and it falls open to the section in Ezek. where God is dividing the inheritance among the 12 families (tribes) of Israel. This is most certainly a time when the inheritance for His Children in on God’s mind. Tx for posting. 🙂

A Friend just sent me the article via F.B. Now I know why.I am in the very transition period you speak about and had a dream to confirm it. God has called me at 61 to start an internet ministry which is way over my head but not His.
Financially we have gone through great trials due to an illness I have had. Not being able to work has drained all our assets both from past business success and personal.
It is articles like yours and the follow up letter to Will who obviously loves God but comes from other teachings. This inspired me to continue, Thank You!

I’ve been wrestling with the exact things you’ve spoken of in this blog. The first paragraph especially describes where I’m at – in transition – somewhere between the old not working and the new not fully revealed. Ok So this is a very interesting post, The only thing that sort of rubs me the wrong way completely is the whole ‘regaining what was lost’ thing. This is a concept I have seen in charismatic Circles, that just does not make any FAITH sense to me whatsoever. If we are grounded in God knowing he provides everything we need, if he makes all things work out for God, then HOW HOW HOW can we ever have experiences where we are losing, have injust things happening? The injustices are always turned around for Good. Those things that you refer to as ‘reclaim our losses’ maybe its not things or situations that were lost.. but vibrance solid faith in the one who made all things? can we really lose ANYTHING if God owns it all? Can we really lose ever >?

And what about the greater rewards of Heaven for those who do experience ‘injustice’? There are many martyrs who chose to allow darkness to consume and take out their life because it created a brighter light in their time, their ‘losses’ was actually a greater impact and turned many to their God.

I don’t know Doug…the materialized paper is cool…and VERY much how things are going to be much more often for those tapped in… but this whole regaining thing seems like a popular charismania to excuse away unwavering faith.

Thanks for your reply. I agree with you that God does turn things into good but it is not always automatic. It sounds like you are saying that a person does not have faith if the enemy has stolen from them. I have experienced losses in my life that are unbelievable. Nearly my entire family has died to a genetic disease. I tried to establish a ministry in Hollywood and we had such oppression and attack we had to give a $125k grant back and move.. to name a few. So you are saying it is I did not have faith? That sounds pretty unloving to someone like me and others who have literally given up our lives, homes, jobs for the Gospel. Will, I pray that you will never have to experience losses but if you ever do please consider what I am saying. We’re Christians, why not befriends :O)
      Blessings to you

      Blessings to you
      Doug

    Dear Doug;
I really enjoyed this blog. It seems as though that is where Jason and I are at in our biz. We started a new biz. about ten months ago, and it really hasn’t broken thru yet. It is my prayer that Jason would see how important it is to pray. He believes if God knows (1 prayer) thats good enough. I’ve lost steam. Yesterday at church; I was havin a little floor time, and I saw in the spirit two angels givin out jewels. I got an orange and a green jewel! Awesome! Is this connected? Carol
