Who Needs a Jumpstart of Hope? | Doug Addison with Brenda Epperson [Episode 24]

If you need a jumpstart of hope today or know someone who does … this is a divine moment for you!

In this week’s Spirit Connection podcast episode, my special guest is Brenda Eppersonactress, musician and authorshe’s the “real deal” in Hollywood.

Brenda felt she was born to perform and inspire others, so she moved from Oregon to Los Angeles with $100 in her pocket, a big dream and a bigger God. While waitressing one day, Brenda was asked to audition for the lead role on the TV series, The Young and the Restless. Her starring role made her popular all over the world.

Brenda takes her passion, talents and entertainment connections to outreach programs and organizations that touch the lives of millions. She speaks to the youth of today, sharing her story, her heart and her passion for God by encouraging others to find their inner strength.
An authentic example of how to affect the world without being infected by it, Brenda has experienced that nothing is impossible with God … if you believe.

In this episode, you’ll discover:

  • How humility can bring you forward
  • Why you should look to God––not the world––for your identity
  • What you should ask God to remind you of
  • What happens when you complain
  • How to have a happy heart
  • The beauty of falling on your knees
  • You are not alone!

Brenda and Doug were inspiring. Like Brenda my parents were country music singers and my mom also Gospel in the church and I was saved at 11 years. It’s a lifelong dream of mine also since childhood to be in song music acting and other arts and I went to college for this… but the devil had other plans for me and he and generational iniquity I knew nothing of stole and destroyed my dreams and plans I worked hard to achieve many times and I’m 54 now and I know very well what Hope deferred is and how it makes the heart sick. I turned away from the God and the church for about 10 years beaten by the Bible Belt down south feeling guilt I couldn’t live up to God’s law and standards and afraid God would make me suffer like Jesus said if I followed Him into missions or ministry and I was disappointed in the way my life was turning out. But I came back as a prodigal to the Father and people began to prophecy and I heard prophetic revelations about my life beginning in 2001 but I’ve been through a long wilderness season and I’ve felt like Daniel in Babylon or Joseph in Egypt like satan has just had his way with me. But I know God is faithful and some day His promises and plans to prosper will come true. Thanks Doug for this encouragement

Thank you for sharing this with us Michael. You are not alone in feeling this way. I am so glad that you came back and got amazing prophetic words. That is what I love about prophesy and a reason it is so needed in the church today. You are so mighty and wonderful. God is not done with you! Bless you as you enter into this new season!

What a beautiful lady, and I’m not just talking about her looks. What a beautiful heart and a softness and kindness about her. Thank you both, for all you doing in the Lord, this was such a blessing to me. I receive the open door to my destiny and calling. Also thank you for talking about religion vs God’s Love. So many of us need that and to be reminded that the hurtful judgements are not God’s view at all and not to fall for lies. So many lies have been dismantled in my life, Glory to God and God Bless you both!

So true Candice. We do need to remind people of God’s love and how he is about a relationship and not after religion. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
