Linda and I went to my family reunion in Raven, Virginia last weekend. I realized what a connection I have with many great Appalachian people. My great grand father, Christopher Addison, was a Baptist lay-preacher. His wife, Rebecca was from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. On my mom’s side of the family we descended from the Cherokee Indians who also lived in North Carolina. So I have a geographic generational connection to where I now live.

Don’t believe that I am really a southern boy? Click Here for a video clip from my family reunion (for real).

Linda and I took our North Carolina driver’s test this week and had to hand over our California license. I guess we are officially no longer Californians. We moved to Moravian Falls over 6 weeks ago. Still getting adjusted to the slower pace and being homeowners. Time can get consumed by running around getting new stuff and fixing the place up to make it feels like home for us. There is an incredible amount of peace here but it takes slowing down to catch it. I feel the most rested in years and my dreams are pretty brilliant.

Went to Hollywood, CA and got a hair cut in Beverly Hills, oh yeah, taught a course on Destiny too. I was encouraged when one of the students was a comedian who performs at the Laugh Factory in L.A. She told me that I am better than most who perform and that he should do more intentional standup-comedy.

I went from there to Encinitas, CA for an event at the La Paloma theater in downtown and open to the public. I had no idea it was going to happen but when he arrived the marquee read “New Mystics Comedy and Miracles”. I was asked to do a comedy-style talk and Jason Westerfield ministered the miracles portion. I felt it was a confirmation to develop more standup routines and doing more comedy. Groovy.

I was in Bolder, CO last weekend doing yet another Prophetic Evangelism Workshop. Funny thing happened. My picture got distorted somehow when we emailed it to them. They thought it was supposed to be that way. The result was that not many people came because they thought I looked evil. Well I changed their minds on Sunday morning when I did “Bloopers and Bible Outtakes”. It was a great outreach at the Pearl Street Mall which had a high New Age gathering.
