Very bad hair day

Just got back from the San Francisco Bay area. Wow, 2 California trips in a week. I think I am now back on Pacific Time. I knew it was going to be a good time when the airline lost my bag for a day. Darn, I had to buy some new clothes to speak on Friday night. The tragic part is that I could not find my Cream Pomade weightless hair jell. Besides that, it was refreshing to see how many people there are the ones who are actually doing Prophetic and Dream Team Evangelism on a regular basis. Go figure, one of the darkest spiritual areas in the country – I guess Light really does belong in darkness. I just found out that my next event in Yuba City canceled unexpectedly. I heard God tell me not to schedule anything in it’s place. Hmmm…we’ll see what is up with that?

Rod who?

Spent the weekend in Hollywood teaching a class on prophecy. This is the second time I have been there since we moved. While we lived in Los Angeles I guess you could say we had “grace from God” to endure the harsh spiritual atmosphere. It was my last haircut in Beverly Hills. Thanks to Nu of Bruno and Suni who has cut my hair for over 3 years. It was great to have a Beverly Hills Buddhist Hair Artist. I guess my next big step in life is to find a hair artist in North Carolina – yikes! I called one place and they said “Who’s Rod Stewart?”… I saw another place that was a single wide trailer that had a sign $7.99 Walk-ins Welcome”. Dear Jesus please help me in my darkest hour!

We had the opportunity to be part of a Streams Ministries training course this past week. It was great to see everyone, connect with old friends, and make some new ones. The meeting was in the White Mountains in northern NH – in other words, beyond the middle of no where. Linda and I had to fly in directly from a conference in Alabama after speaking all weekend and arriving at 1AM, we were not too crazy about the 2.5 hour drive that was ahead of us. Somehow, we turned the 2.5 hour drive into 4 hours by getting lost 3 times and ending up in Maine. We barely missed hitting 2 deer and did run over 2 raccoons (one already dead and one not) and also just missed another. We almost hit a dog that looked like a fox. By the time we arrived at the hotel it was 5AM Monday morning and we were so tired and keyed up due to watching for animals and being lost!  It all turned out well.

Ants in cyberspace

We have been battling with our internet service provider trying to get them to get our internet connection to be stable. I am beginning to think that DSL stands for Demons Satan and Lucifer. Everyone here believes that the internet is supposed to be down 3-4 times a day, that is the way it always has been. Well neighbors, big city folks are here to set you free!  They finally came out to take a closer look and found that carpenter ants had eaten the back of the switch that controls the connections for the entire mountain. Well dang-o, who’d a thunk that. We are back online with the exception of the massive lightening strikes we are now getting. Everytime we get a storm (3 times a week), the internet goes down again. Maybe we need to call the intercessors on this one.

Reaching the world from a backwoods cabin

Over the past 2 months I have been hearing God clearly directing us to use technology to train people all over the world. To my surprise we have met several others who heard God speak the same message. Many people have already moved to Moravian Falls not knowing why and God is beginning to unfold a plan as the puzzle pieces are starting to fit together. The irony of this is that the only internet available to us on the mountain is slow-speed unreliable DSL. It will be interesting to see how God will provide the connections needed to fulfill this order.
