Last February, a week before President
Day, I had a dream that really stuck with me. I knew this dream was
significant, but it took a few months for me to fully understand it.

Dream: I was sitting in a Starbucks close to midnight. People
had gathered to see an event in the night sky. A star was going to fall
from a major constellation called Abraham Lincoln. Someone pointed to
the sky, and I looked up and watched the highest star on the tip of
Abe’s hat fall to the earth. Afterwards, I noticed on the horizon the 3
stars of Orion the Hunter’s belt. The constellation Orion the Hunter
began to slowly rise from the horizon into the night sky. I woke up
feeling perplexed.

As I prayed and pondered the dream I knew it had something to
do with a major leader. The fact that the dream came just a few days
before Abraham Lincoln’s birthday gave me some clues that it had to do
with a president, one of integrity. I researched and found that the
constellation Orion the Hunter was used in the past to predict changing
of seasons. Interestingly, Orion rises at midnight in May and June. A
midnight rising of Orion meant that the grapes were ready to harvest.

Interpretation: The death or fall of a prominent president or
leader will indicate a change of season in which a significant harvest
(God drawing people to Himself) will begin.

Application: On June 5, 2004, President Ronald
Reagan passed away at age 93. It was not until after his death that God
began to speak to me about the meaning of my dream. President Reagan’s
death marks the change in the spiritual atmosphere and a transition
into a new move of God, which will begin to draw people to Jesus.

In the 2004 Shepherd’s Rod put out by Bob Jones & Paul Keith Davis,
Bob Jones was told by God of a significant change in the spiritual
realm that would happen just after Pentecost (May 30th): “during this
revelation Bob (Jones) saw a white flag of surrender being hoisted by
the church. Fortunately, this was not surrender to our adversary in the
battle but submission to the purpose and desire of Heaven in the hearts
of Christians. The
time has now arrived for a consecrated body of believers to inherit the
promises long foreseen and expressed through the prophets of old.”

We are in a time of transition in which God is reviving those who are
ready and waiting for the return of His son Jesus. This is a very
exciting time, as God is beginning to line things up for a great influx
of people who will come into a new relationship with Jesus Christ.

Revival always starts individually before it can impact our families,
community, and nation. God is drawing each of us to a closer
relationship with Him. The spiritual change that is now being released
will cause us to spend more time in prayer, Bible study, and meeting
together with other Christians. Dreams, visions, angelic encounters,
and supernatural experiences will also begin to increase.

And do this (love), understanding the present time. The hour has
come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is
nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the
day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put
on the armor of light.
Romans 13:11-12 NIV

I feel a fresh new desire to read the Bible and press into God for
personal renewal. Even though I have a busy schedule I am finding time
to slip away and just sit and enjoy God love. In my quiet encounters
with God I have been asking Him to reveal and (gently) remove anything
that would keep me from fulfilling what He has created me to do. I
would like to invite you to do the same.

Watch as God begins to draw you closer, strengthen you, and bring about
a deeper level of repentance and personal revival. As we are renewed
individually, then we will be ready for a larger scale revival that God
has promised.
