Linda and I took a week’s vacation in the Smokey Mountains. We stayed at the Cherokee Indian reservation and attended the annual Pow-Wow. I determined that Indian reservations are a bad place to be on a low-carb diet. My ancestors were Cherokee and many of them lived in the area I now live. We visited Pigeon Forge TN and had no idea that it is the family version of Las Vegas. There were more wedding chapels than Starbucks in Seattle. I knew I was still in the south when I saw a sign on the back of a car that said, “Just Married – Now Getter Done”
