First, I just want to know is it a sin to get tattoos. Now, I’m just undecided on whether or not I should get one. I had a dream back in 2014 a week or two after Prophet Bob Jones passing. Bob Jones was in my dream in the dream I’m thinking he is going to prophecy over me but he doesn’t he makes this BIG HAND and ask me a question Do i know what this is or means. I told him yes sir GOD IS ABLE. Now saying that that has been a word God has given me in this season Im in and i just wanted to get that tattooed on me. As a reminder that i will get through this season and that God will get me through it.
God has given us our skin for a protective covering for our body. When anything pierces it this covering gets compromised and can open us up for any kind of infection, etc. to invade. We are wonderfully created. We need to appreciate and take care of what he has given us.
If we we take the scripture literally about tatooing your body then those who have piercings for earrings are sinning too because it says not to pierce your body as well.
However, the way I see it is that back in those days they pierced themselves and tattoed themselves as part of a demonic ritual to other gods.
Now we get tattoos to express who we are on the outside.
I would consider asking Holy Spirit what He thinks and find someone who is a Christian and get the tattoo.

If you move out of a house, someone else bought it and moved in, you decided to go back to the house and repaint it, or draw all over it. it is right? NO… thats how it is when you give yourself to God, it no longer belongs to you but to Him.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Names of God Bible
19 Don’t you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you. You don’t belong to yourselves. 20 You were bought for a price. So bring glory to God in the way you use your body.
Hmmm… Yes, but God gives us free will to choose how we live in our body for him. I really think God cares more about our heart and how we love than if we get a tattoo or piercing, or we don’t weigh our ideal weight, or we color our hair or shave off our hair… But, one of our core values at InLight Connection is that we embrace wholeness and health. This is what we say, “God created us body, soul and spirit, so we are living examples of His craftsmanship. We believe, practice and teach healthy lifestyles and consider our bodies to be temples of the Holy Spirit. We also value God’s creation by caring for the environment and well-being of others.” https://dougaddison.com/core-values/

Consider Leviticus 19:28.
