Why is There So Much Killing and Injustice?

Have you ever wondered what is going on with the world and why there is a sudden surge in violence, murder and senseless killing?

I was very surprised with God’s response to me when I asked this question.

I heard, “All you need is love!”
I know this sounds cliché (and it is also the title to a Beatles song), but I felt a seriousness from the Lord. I would like to share more of the prophetic insight that I received and also present a solution.

A time of shaking

We are in a time of shaking as God is preparing us for a coming revival. Naturally, the enemy does not want this revival to happen. Everywhere you look, people seem to be in fear. Terrorism itself inflicts fear upon people and it can get us out of God’s perfect peace.

I was reading a statistic by the CDC (Center for Disease Control) that the leading cause of death in the United States is heart failure. This reminded me of what Jesus said:

… men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Luke 21:26 NKJV

It is interesting that Jesus said people would suffer from heart failure due to fear. We are seeing this happen right now. It is important to remove fear from our lives and instead be filled with the Holy Spirit and faith, hope and love (1 Corinthians 13:13).

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but power and love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

As we cast out fear and replace it with love, we will receive a sound mind. Many people are suffering from mental illness, causing them to act out in violence. This is from a lack of love and allowing fear to overpower us.

Jesus said to love

Jesus said the most important commandments were to love God, our neighbors and ourselves (Mark 12:28–31).

As I look around, I see that these verses have not been valued to the level that Jesus asked us. Just look at social media and you will agree with me. When we begin to judge others and step out of perfect love, we invite fear into our lives.

Here’s the most powerful revelation we can have on this, and the solution as well:

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 NKJV

We need to get into the perfect love that John (and Jesus) talked about. As we step into perfect love, we will no longer have fear. But if we allow fear to rule in our lives, then a tormentor can be assigned to us.

This is the condition of people today. Tormentors are being assigned to people’s minds, causing a dark cloud of hatred to cover our land. This is also causing people to engage in senseless killing. Even believers can be tormented by fear and be inflicted with hopelessness in our souls and sickness in our bodies.

What is the solution?

As simple as it sounds, we need to love and not hate or judge others. It is a time like never before to step into God’s perfect love.

We can do this by being kind and compassionate to one another. We can turn the dark cloud over our nation into an open heaven of God’s love and light. But it requires us to cast out fear and be filled with the love of Jesus.

When it comes down to it, as God said, “All you need is love!”

Blessings,

Doug Addison

Hi Doug & the InLight team.
Thank you for the post which brings home the real truth that we must all faced- LOVE, Not Jugde!
“When we begin to judge others and step out of perfect love, we invite fear into our lives. ” – I must confess that I got your recording on How to Love, Not Judge since February BUT I’ve only just listened to it this week… why?? Because then I’ve to face the truth about myself, how the past hurts caused me to hold judgments, bitterness and unforgiveness on people. It’s an eye-opener no doubt & I’ll be listening to the teaching again & again. I just want to say that it’s true, when we step out of God’s perfect love, we then invite fear into our lives. I’m currently battling the fear of stepping out in faith to get myself a driving license! I’m nearly 40 years old & I still can’t drive…. please keep me in prayers & thank you so much for everything… you, Doug & your team have been a real blessings and God bless you all in every aspect of your lives and meet all your needs.
Thank you very much for your constant word of encouragement, just keep things simple, basic don’t over-complicate things.

Thank you for this message. Yes, there has been a lot
Killing. My concern is regarding the blatant
unjustified killing of black people by policemen and
even after video camera show the wrongful killing,
The police go free. As an African American woman,
I know longer feel safe when I see police. I start
praying I don’t pulled over because even if you
comply, their reaction is to kill us on site.
What is God saying to you about the violent actions
    of police against black people?

Doug, this post reminded me of something I read years ago. I’m not sure of the source, but the writer was a Christian psychiatrist who had worked in mental hospitals for years. He said the ONE thing ALL mental patients have in common is a deep root of fear. That stuck with me, as I have family members who suffer with mental illness. Getting rid of the fear in our lives is so important for us, but also for our children and grandchildren. We don’t want to pass down any generational curses. Great post, as always, Doug!

Thank you for the affirmation I have been praying for… I too heard God tell me “All you need is love” … super cliche indeed… but after years of infertility and praying for healing and a miracle… I heard one night very clear “All you need is love” … I sang it , whistled it, thought it in my mind… every time it seemed impossible, or another one lost (6) total… I kept believing because my Lord told me “All you need is love” anout a year later we had our first daughter… then a son… and now at an older age TWINS (boy/girl) … the impossible happened…. because God told me “All you need is love” the doctors are still in wonder… but not me… and I tell them each time I see them … with God all things are possible…thanks for the affirmation… as I see it God may be saying the impossible is about to happen….

I believe that if we love God with all our heart’s, we will be in position to receive HIS love; As in a supernatural love anointing. I believe this is what happens when everybody suddenly starts laughing and rolling around on the floor; Like what happened in “The Toronto Blessing”. I have never experienced it for my self, but I want to..:-)

I believe that with all my heart but don’t you think that sounds like what the media portrays. We can love like Jesus but did you feel God warning you also to be wise? I know your intentions are good if you believe you heard from the Lord but so much of this killing has been because we are turning our eyes away from the truth and hoping being kind saves us from our enemies. In the Bible we were to love yes but also to protect ourselves.

I understand what Regina is saying. God’s word says be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. There are evil and mentally ill people out here that need deliverance and healing. We cannot help them by only loving them. We can pray for them but we still need discernment for the our own sake. Judgement is totally different than discernment.

God spoke to me on Good Friday last year, and He told me that He wanted to answer the prayer that I kept asking. He said that I wanted to know how to stop the evil that was destroying the children and families. (I pray for everything and everyone, so I wasn’t sure which question from prayer he wanted to answer until He told me.) He said that the only thing that can destroy evil completely is love. I said, “Well that seems easy enough, are you sure that is all that is needed?” lol He said that was the only thing that is ever needed. He also told me that until people turn and help others, nothing else can happen. He said that is what He is waiting for, and we won’t be going up or the new coming down until all of his people help each other. He didn’t say it like I was not doing my part, but He said it as if to encourage others to step out and pray, bless and encourage the hurting and afflicted lives all around us. I know that it is only by His grace and blessing on my life that I am able to go into the most dangerous parts of Phoenix in the middle of the night in order to find that person that whispered, “Help me God” before giving up on life. I let the Spirit lead me to the people that God has waiting for me, and I have never been afraid of being injured, but I have stopped and said, “Are you sure about this God?” quite a few times, because I don’t want to bother people or wake them up if they are asleep on a bus stop bench, but I realized after a few times, that those people would not have made it if I hadn’t showed up to comfort them and encourage them with the hope of God’s love that was so strong that it causes me to go out in the middle of the night to find them, because God said that He needs them to know that they are loved and He hears their prayers. God’s greatest gift to us is love. His perfect love casts out all fear, and I know for myself, I would never be able to do the things that I do without God. I used to be afraid of my own shadow just a few years ago, but after becoming so intimately united to God, nothing really shakes me anymore.
I will admit that when I made a heroin addict get in my car, so that I could get him some food and water before he died, I wasn’t really prepared for all that would happen in those four hours that I drove around the Valley praying and singing songs of deliverance over the poor boys life. He was only 23, and he was trying to kill himself. I didn’t know him, but I knew that God wouldn’t have sent me to him if he were dangerous. He was manifesting all kinds of crazy things that I had never seen before, but I kept my cool and would just turn up the music louder. It was heartbreaking to see that poor guy suffering so terribly, and I truly had no idea what to do, because I didn’t know much about heroin and the impact from withdrawals, but I can honestly say that when I finally left the guy four and a half hours later, he was speaking and coherent and filled with hope. When I saw him stumbling down the road that morning, he couldn’t speak more than a word or two, and he was barely able to stand. His body was shaking and drenched in sweat. He was not going to make it in the Phoenix heat in that condition. I learned that he had been sexually abused by someone close to the family that was still around. He never told anyone, because he didn’t want to cause any issues for his family. So like most young adults on drugs, he was hiding behind the mask of addiction, because it was easier than wearing the mask of shame and guilt that comes from being sexually abused. I learned a lot that day, because I had never dealt with anyone that was manifesting demonic torment like that guy. I thought that if I could get him to say, “Jesus I surrender my life to you. Thank you for rescuing me” than he would be delivered, but that didn’t seem to be enough. I believe that he was set free after he made the choice to not get out of the car at his apartment when he saw the drug dealers walking to their apartment. They pulled up in a nice vehicle and got out looking like they were rich athletes rather than drug dealers. The saddest part was that they had a kid who appeared to be about 12 years old selling the drugs to people that would pull up at the apartments. I haven’t actually been able to find those apartments since that day, but I desperately wanted to send the police over there to put an end to those two dealers. They were preying on the weak and vulnerable and trapping them in their web of addiction and literally killing all of the people in that area.
I could go on and on about that topic, because I have met many young people that were from the Foster Care system and after turning 18 they were left to do life alone. The drug dealers, pimps and every evil and wicked wretch waited to attack and destroy them.
I guess my point in commenting on the above comments about protecting ourselves, is just to help others understand that fear is fuel for the enemy, and faith is fuel for God to do mighty miracles. If I am trusting in myself or my abilities, I have no chance, but knowing that God’s power is made perfect in my weakness, I know that I must be filled up with power, because I am so weak and worthless on my own!
