How to Reach Your Full Potential in This New Season

Have you felt like things that once worked for you are no longer working?

Have things seemed to come to a halt in your life?

This could be because we have entered into a new season. What worked previously might not work or be as effective as it once was.

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. Romans 12:2 TPT

Most people are imitating what they see around them. Our Christian and church cultures are in crisis and we need to be transformed by the Holy Spirit and the reformation of how we think and act.

God is looking to empower people who can discern His will for this specific season. But it will take stepping back and getting eyes to see.

Getting God’s eyes

One of the apostle Paul’s prayers for the newly forming churches of his day was:

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. Ephesians 1:18 NIV

The Greek word used for “know” is “to see or perceive.” This goes deeper than just head knowledge about God. When you see and perceive the hope of your calling, it causes you to gain God’s perspective and take action as a result. As we do this, we will get a greater understanding of who we are in Christ. Also, God’s will and timing will become clearer.

Seeing as God sees

We need to get God’s perspective on ourselves and those around us. God sees us as we are becoming, or in our full potential. Here are some examples of this from the Bible:

  • Judges 6: Gideon was hiding in fear, and an angel came and called him a mighty man of valor. God treated Gideon the way He saw him in the future.
  • John 1:40–42: Simon had just met Jesus and he was still rough around the edges. Still, Jesus says, “You will be called Cephas,” (or Peter, which means “rock”). Jesus treated him the way He saw him in the future, not how he was at that moment.
  • Acts 9: Saul was murdering Christians, but then God blinded him on the road to Damascus. Before Saul’s life was changed, God had Ananias tell him that he is a chosen instrument and a brother.

The key is to see yourself—and those around you—in your full potential in God. See yourself as God sees you, not as you once were, or even as you are now.

By faith, get a picture of who you are becoming in God. You might not be there yet, but if you begin seeing yourself there, then you will come into agreement with Heaven and you will start to act differently.

This is the powerful principle of seeing. As we combine the principle of seeing with the principle of believing and faith, we then step into who we are in the Lord.

Many people are still living the storyline of their past or trying to deal with their present struggles. God is for you, and as you position yourself how He sees you, your entire life will change radically.

    Hi Nikki.
    I am a HG365 student.
As a seer, I see where God wants to take me but I don’t take the time to visualize it, with me in the picture, as already being done. I need to spend more time visualizing how God sees the future me.
    Thank you.
