How to Experience the Power of Perfect Love | Doug Addison with Brent Lokker [Episode 41]

Do you ever feel anxiety, fear or just feel down? Have you ever felt like you were a disappointment to God … like you didn’t do it right?

Well, there’s an answer to everything that troubles us, causes pain or generates negativity. It is the power of perfect love—God’s perfect love.

In this Spirit Connection episode, I want to give you a picture of what God is saying about why the world seems to be going crazy. Christians and non-Christians alike are being tormented by fear. God gave me 4 powerful keys to get a radical healing breakthrough and to receive His love and now I want to share them with you!

My guest this week is a very special person to me—Brent Lokker. He’s a pastor with his wife Suzanne of Blazing Fire Church in Dublin, California, in the San Francisco Bay area. They’ve pastored for over 27 years and also travel internationally.

Brent’s book, Always Loved: You Are God’s Treasure, Not His Project. has brought healing to people all over the world. He is deep in God’s Word and deep in the action of the Lord’s heart.

Bonus: at the end of this episode, Brent speaks a long, powerful “Father’s blessing” over us. Here’s a sneak peek from our conversation:

  • “I lit up with this white, electric light, like a thousand million volts of glory”
  • “I know in my head that the Father loves me, but I’m not feeling it my heart”
  • “…and He said, ‘My Spirit is going to sweep through this region with or without you, do you want to be a part of it?’”
  • “I felt like I was a huge disappointment to God … trying to figure out what happened”
  • “Keep loving, because love is the biggest deal in God’s Kingdom”
  • “We’re all in a process of learning to give Jesus the Lordship of our lives and we still make mistakes”

Thank you for sharing this. It has been a hard time for me with anxiety but I am overcoming it through God’s love! I also had this dream I wanted to share, maybe someone has insight into the meaning…
I dreamed I was pregnant but got burned. I was healed but the baby died. Then I was pregnant again and had a healthy baby.

Thank you Church. God bless you Doug and Brent!

I so identify with Brent’s testimony! WOW! Had a ministry for 7 plus years and Had to let it go, there was hurt misunderstandings etc… And for more than a year I have felt on the inside like I was, and am still recovering from a major surgery… The pain, grief, loss, loneliness, even anger..
Still ‘working’ on being loved! Thank you Doug and Brent!

Wow Linda. I am so glad that you were able to identify with Brent’s story. I can imagine that letting go of a ministry can be very painful. Agreeing with you for complete emotional healing from that loss. Bless you.

So glad to be partnering with you Doug, you’re just “beaming” with God’s love, and so full of joy too ! This podcast was (once more) so good 😊! I’m in a journey of asking God to show me his love and kindness .. not that I don’t know he IS love, but my heart needs and wants to connect much deeper with that truth. I want to know my Father in a much deeper way, the real Him.. to have our picture, me and my Father, on the wall of my heart ☺️💕 to love myself in Him and share and give that love around me..
This podcast resonates with the one you did with Elizabeth Enlow.. seems Father is persuing me with His love.. everything I listen to is about His love for me.. and I say YES❣️ Be wide open my heart, I receive it all ! 💝
Thank you Doug for your ministry of love, forgiveness, joy, peace, hope.. You and Linda, and your wonderful team, be blessed with God’s tangible loving kindness and favor! 🤗

I am agonizing over a split in my church. One pastor is focusing on the seniors in our communities. About 1/3 of the people went with him. Now the other is calling the pastor a sheep stealer, liar etc. The people in the middle are torn and miss fellow believers. Praying for peace, Grace & forgiveness on both sides

This podcast was amazing! I just resigned from my job and I have no idea what God is going to do through me so it was so good to hear that my identity is not in a job, or in this world, it’s in Jesus Christ.
    Thank you both for sharing!
