What You Need to Change in Your Financial Strategy

Do you feel like you’re called to do big things for the Kingdom of God, but never seem to have enough money?

Your financial future is not hopeless!

Here are 3 mindset-shifts to help you start opening the heavens over your finances right now:

1. Find out where your treasure is.

There are certain necessities we must spend money on in order to live. This includes things like food, shelter, clothes, etc.

But then there is the money we spend out of our extra funds. When we track these expenses, we discover an interesting picture of our priorities.

This is because of a simple Biblical principle:

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21 NIV

The truth is, we put our treasure—spend our money—on the things that are important to us.

[Tweet “The truth is, we put our treasure—spend our money—on the things that are important to us.”]
I encourage you to find some time this week and look at this area of your spending.

Ask yourself:

  • What common themes can I track where I spend the most money?
  • Am I happy with where my “treasure” is going?
  • What are my priorities in life according to my spending habits?

Then ask:

  • Where would I like my treasure to be?
  • Am I spending money on advancing my goals?
  • Am I putting my treasure in worthwhile pursuits?

Get a clearer picture of where you are, where your treasure currently is, so you can move forward to where you’re going. When you invest your money in where you want your priorities to go, your heart—your hopes, dreams, and passions—follow!

2. Above all, get wisdom.

After the death of his father King David, Solomon took up his father’s crown and began his rein. God chose to give Solomon a great gift. He told him to “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” 1 Kings 3:5 NIV

Solomon could have asked for the riches of the world or for a long life. Instead, he chose to ask God for wisdom to govern his people well.

God was so pleased with Solomon’s response that he gave him both wisdom and riches.

Solomon later wrote this about the difference between wisdom and wealth:

Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it. Ecclesiastes 7:12 NIV

Solomon knew that money might make him a great king, but money was not what would keep him great. In our own lives, it’s important to understand that money is easier to attain—and easier to lose—than wisdom.

3. Use what’s already in your hand.

When God sent Moses to free the slaves from Egypt’s captivity, Moses was afraid that who he was and what he had to offer wasn’t enough to do the job.

But God had an important reminder for Moses:

Then the LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied. Exodus 4:2 NIV

“But take this staff in your hand so you can perform the signs with it.” Exodus 4:17 NIV

God essentially told Moses to take what was already in his hand and get on with it.

If the Lord has called you to do something, you currently have in your hand exactly what you need to get started. Once you put what you already have in your hand to work, more will follow.

[Tweet “If the Lord has called you to do something, you currently have in your hand exactly what you need to get started.”]

You can start fresh today!

Many of us have made financial missteps in the past, but that doesn’t have to determine our future.

We can choose today to move forward and make these mindset-shifts around money so we can experience an open heaven over our finances!

Step into your new, bright financial future!

Blessings!

Every morning I go out to my garden & listen via YouTube, it’s my prayer time, my talk to God time. As of late, each of your videos have hit the nail on the head, phrases, passages, situations etc., to the point that I could be knocked over by a feather. I know something is about to break because the enemy wouldn’t be messing with me as much as he has these past years. I cannot begin to tell you how MUCH you have helped. While I was holding on by a thread, it’s now a hand up. God Bless You 🥰🥰🥰

I am very rich in Jesus, the Lord has me staying with someone that does not know Him. It is hard when you are related to them but when I was child my family went through and saw the torment I went through. When I accepted Jesus later in life my life changed. I am 58 I accepted Jesus when I was in my 30s.
The Lord told me it was time to retire and do His Will. Last year my life really changed I was taken up by one angel one side and one angel on the other and then someone spoke and my spirit left me or I should say the Holy Spirit took me up and was escorted.
I can discern people being healed when I hear certain Christian music and when people have a strong desire for Jesus my body starts to be on fire for Jesus and I start praying in the Spirit. God takes over,
When I was younger I had grad mal seizures that tore apart my family God is having me by the way of Jesus Christ bring back the Love by showing we are all Loved my body shakes because the Almighty is flowing through me and in me where ever I go. He loves us all so very much. I have a friend and her daughter died she was 29. I have taken care of children don’t have my own. I felt sorrow for my friend for a week, I have never felt this before I did ask, God if He could give me more pain since it was her daughter. The next day something happened it was all gone because I thanked the Lord for all the things He is doing and how much you Love us all
I just keep praying for all to accept Jesus Christ and for all people to be healed in Jesus name.
    God bless Love Ken

@Linda Jean Thompson don’t get distracted by what you don’t see but stand on what you know.

Hebrews 11:1 King James Version (KJV)
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I’m a living witness that you cannot out give God. We live in the abundance of his Blessings. Be encouraged and your Blessings is on the way!!!!!

    Kind Regards,

I have always tithed & been a generous giver as I love to give, I repent daily of any sins or wrong thoughts and trust the Lord as my Jehovah Jireah, but I’ve now found myself lacking each month the money I need & having to ask for help. I keep hearing about breakthrough & see in other’s lives but not my own. I have sought the Lord constantly each morning & praise Him despite my lack. Maybe you know what is wrong. I’m very thrifty & live simply. Help!
