3 Ways to Break Out of June Gloom and Choose Joy

Do you feel like you’re trying to beat back the June Gloom?

This is because things are beginning to heat up in both the spiritual realm and the natural. Not everything is perfectly aligned yet, so things can seem foggy and unclear.

The good news is I saw a powerful Wind of Change blow and shift that gloom out of place. I share more about this in my latest prophetic word, but I wanted to give you some practical steps to take during this time.

Here are 3 ways you can start breaking through the June Gloom and choose joy:

1. Get outside.

Have you ever noticed how much more alive—how much happier—you feel when you’ve been outside for a couple hours?

The Earth is the great home God made for us, and His great masterpiece.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1 NIV

In every living thing there is a lesson. There are many places in the Bible where nature is used to communicate a message, a point.

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26 NIV

“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Job 12:7-8 NIV

If you’re feeling low, try getting outside and observing God’s creation. Maybe there is a message there for you that will help shift the gloom.

2. Talk to a loved one.

When life is overwhelming, many of us have the tendency to isolate ourselves. This gives the enemy an opportunity to come in and convince you that no one can understand, no one really cares, etc.

Think of how predators choose their prey in the wild. First, they single out the young, the sick, the elderly … those most vulnerable to an attack. Then they work to get them alone.

The enemy moves in much the same way. He knows that if he can make you believe you’re alone, he’ll have an easier time implanting his lies.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 NIV

Find someone you trust and talk to them about what you’re going through. Negative emotions can feel as a heavy weight on our hearts. When we talk about what we’re experiencing, that burden eases and suddenly things don’t seem so hopeless.

3. Give yourself a break.

We can be our own worst critics. One bad moment in your life does not erase all the good that has ever happened, or all the good that is still to come your way!

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Psalm 27:13 NIV

Restore your confidence in the goodness of God. He hasn’t failed us yet—and the story is not over for you!

Thank you Doug! One of my brothers in Christ passed away three days ago and it’s been extremely hard. I know that to be absent from the body is to be present with CHRIST and I am forever grateful. Before his passing I have been feeling stuck for the past six years. In reading others comments here GOD spoke reassuring and confirmative words to me and your words also soothed me. Thank for all you do in the name of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. Blessings to you all.

June 9, 2019, all during the day

I AM Going To Lift The Veil:
The Bride’s Face Will Clearly See Her Groom’s Identity

Dimly born vision on graceful dawn,
brightens up it’s coloured rainbow dust
    Weaven into snowy white chiffon,
show angels’ collected pigment, living trust

Oh, open up the eyes veiled blind !
    Joy and greatly blessed
to the one who is refined,
    when Love’s covenant is expressed

Wait wrapped in the circle of My arms,
together you and I, barefoot we will dance,
Learn to listen to the music of bridal charms,
I will teach you to sing again, Life, Romance !

Clothed in garland gown of completeness,
    shiny shimmering particles whirl down
Where His feet pass whispered sweetness,
cling close to heart His kingly crown
