4 Things to Remember During Your Difficult Time

Feeling the shift in the spiritual atmosphere?

God is releasing some new things from Heaven right now! It may look as if the enemy is winning or that plans aren’t exactly panning out the way you were expecting. But this is a distraction from what is really going on. The enemy is trying to shift your focus away from what’s coming from Heaven and the Lord.
If life is feeling rocky right now—this could be your financial, emotional, spiritual or physical situations—you may be having trouble getting clarity on how you should handle it or what to do next.

Here are 4 things to remember during your difficult time:

#1. Try not to make any major decisions during difficult times.

When you’re in the middle of a hard time, it’s usually not a great idea to make major decisions.

Don’t get me wrong, there may be emergency situations that need to be dealt with immediately. But for the most part, it is wise to wait for God to renew your strength before making big, life-altering decisions.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 NIV

[Tweet “When you’re in the middle of a hard time, it’s usually not a great idea to make major decisions.“]

#2. Realize God is not the giver of bad things.

God is not in the business of punishing you. Jesus Himself said:

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Matthew 7:11 NIV

The bad situations you’re walking through are from the enemy, not from God. God will use your difficult time to your advantage, but that doesn’t mean He set it in motion!

I went through a four-year health affliction, and some people said that it was a gift from the Lord in order to teach me something. My health issues were definitely not a gift, but God did use it to bless me.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 NIV

During this time, I came off the road from traveling all the time and God spoke deep revelation to my spirit. The Lord used my bad time for good!

[Tweet “God will use your difficult time to your advantage, but that doesn’t mean He set it in motion!”]

#3. Find Bible verses to help back you up.

Bible verses are like a legal document between God and His children. When you begin to decree God’s Word, you’re showing God that you believe His promises and that you know He’s going to come through for you!

I share some great Bible verses to decree over your life in my latest prophetic word.

#4. Watch for God to move on your behalf.

God will take what was intended for evil and turn it to good! This may not happen overnight or in a way you expect, but if you keep your eyes open, you’ll see God move on your behalf!

The Lord is with you, and He’s got your back covered!

Blessings,

Thank you so much for that timely encouraging Word. I have been walking through tremendous storms for several years especially with my health. However just yesterday I had to undergo what they thought as a much needed biopsy in my throat for cancer (a nodule). I had cancer before and believed that now it would not come again. Anyway a group of us got together and prayed.. We stormed the gates. I had been preped; place I small OR for procedure; explained procedure everything… Then the doctor decided to take one last look to double check area of extraction. BUT GOD… When he looked again it was not there…. No nodule to be found. All I could do was to give high praise. Now the Lord has not delivered all things as timely as Brother Doug mentioned; some things are still in process… But I know in HIS time HE makes all things beautiful!

Bless you Pastor Doug and all my Brothers and Sisters praying in agreement with you; for prayers of righteous availth much….

I appreciate this word; I am hurting so badly right now. I feel like I have been beaten physically and emotionally this week. I know God has great things for me but feel so down right now. And I am so upset and grieved with ppl being prideful and thinking they are better that someone else — whether me or another family member. I know we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but do have to deal with hurt relationships in the right way. Right now my wounds are still pretty fresh. We leave for vacation tomorrow as a family

Thank you Doug Addison for the prophetic words, they seem to be speaking directly to me. But I trust God, therefore I will wait on Him, His promises are true, He is not a man that He would lie, with Him. God bless you and yours.

Thank you for I truly needed this today! My knees are bone on bone & need surgery. I also have osteoporosis & it has made my bones thin & light white like my soft tissue. I have issues with metal, I get infection so I have to go allergy doctor to see what metals my body has issues with, then the doctor will get a lithium knee joint. This morning before going to the doctor I had a dream vision where a demon tried to sneak in behind my back while I was sleeping I called out scripture & then Jesus Jesus Jesus and it was gone. Now I have received several words on God surrounding me from the enemy & your word says exactly what God told me, “I have your back covered!!!” Praise God !!!!

    Hi Doug!
I’m so pleased to have you confirm God’s message to me/us. I took note this morning of Isaiah 40 and other scriptures where God is emphasising the word WAIT! throughout this week.
Reading here took my breathe away – the nice way of course.
Thanks again and PRAISE THE LORD OH MY SOUL!!!

I am planning on going through the ordination and healing school through Joan Hunter ministries. In the last month I had surgery for kidney stones and following that I got Sepis. Since then I have recovered for the most part. But it’s like I feel so far from God and I don’t know if I should go through the ordination. Was this a just a test? I just feel like I can’t get back into God’s presence since all this had happened. If you get a word or a certain scripture I need to be standing on please email me. Thank you and many blessings over you and wife.

Hey Jeanie. I am so sorry that happened. I can see how difficult that would be and discouraging. I would suggest simply spending time in the Lord’s presence without feeling the need to “do” anything. Even in sitting with your coffee or tea in the morning and simply allowing that time to be a time of being with Him will be powerful. From that intimacy, the Lord will speak to you and show you what to do. You are His Beloved Jeanie. You are so precious to Him.

Thank you–I needed that today! We (my husband Clayton and myself) know God is faithful, and SO VERY GOOD! We know He is always working–even when we sleep–and that He looks at us as we look at our delightful darling dynamite daughter (now 23 and just engaged to be married, and almost done with college). We realized we’d been holding ought against OURSELVES for not following God more fully, and we are excited and humbled to be Last Days Ministers of the Most High God! WOW!
THANK YOU for sharing the uncompromising TRUTH!

This was so on time for me. I’m in the middle of one of the most difficult times in my life. I’m 44 years old and for the first time in my life I have been unemployed for 3 months due to a lay off. Also in the midst of that we were trying to sell our house to downsize because we became empty nesters. I’ve haven been deeply wounded by saints who I though I could trust. This has been a very dark season of the soul but I believe this word was right on time for me. Thank you.
