How to Align Yourself in This Season of Promotion

God is looking to promote you in this season. But there are some things you should know first.

Promotions can reveal the deep places in our hearts. Sometimes, there’s stuff in there we haven’t looked at in a while. Some of it is good stuff, some of it is not so good.

It’s important to guard your heart

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Proverbs 4:23 NIV

This is a key Bible verse to understanding how to navigate the time we’re in right now. We need to guard our hearts, but we should also be careful about being too guarded and missing what God is saying to us.

There’s a difference between being cautious and guarded as opposed to suspicious and closed off. Even though God may be clearing out some of the negative stuff within us, that doesn’t mean it has to be a super painful process. Healing is freeing!

I encourage you to take what God is telling you in this season and accept it in a positive way. Remember, the Lord doesn’t want to crush you. He’s looking to elevate and promote you. In other words, whatever He brings up in your heart to deal with is something He is revealing to help you advance in your life.

Take a look at your day-to-day life

New promotion often comes with more money or power. This requires a great deal of maturity.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:10 NIV

It is the love of money that is the root of all kinds of evil, not money itself. Many people who seek only money or promotion have found out that it didn’t give them the peace, security or joy they were looking for.

But we know this, don’t we? We know that God is the one who gives us peace and fills us up with love. Since we understand this, we know to use money as a tool. If our hearts are in the right place, God can bring money and promotion into our lives so we can do what He’s called us to do!

Try to see the big picture

There’s a lot going on right now, and it can be easy to get caught up in the nitty-gritty details.

Many people want to know how everything’s going to happen, and what they need to do next, and why they need to do it.

It’s time to let that go. This is a time to take it one step at a time. Everything won’t always make sense as it’s happening, but your destiny is like a connect-the-dots drawing. Each “dot” in your life represents a life-move, experience, job, relationship, etc.

So, as each “dot” is happening, try not to worry too much about what it will mean. You’ll eventually start making connections and see the big picture.

Let go of expectations

Sometimes we have a very specific view of how we think God should move. You may find it freeing to let go of your expectations in this season.

Many times, our expectations are tied to the past or based on our current needs. But the Lord is doing a new thing. As you begin to let go and embrace this new move God is doing in your life, you may be surprised by what happens!

God is on the move. I can’t wait to see where He takes us!

Blessings,

I think I already paid for this teaching. Can you remind me what date it was so I can access the download? I live in a very rural area, so I have to take a charged tablet into the city and borrow a computer as internet service is not available where I live.

    Thanks for your help!

Good morning Doug from San Diego California, this blog is exactly where I am right now! We are moving to Texas and it’s exciting and yet the unknown and I’m one of those people you described where I want to know what I’m doing, why am doing it.I like to have everything in alignment so that there’s no surprises. But after reading this I told God that I would just hold onto his hand and choose not to have to have everything written out, but wait on Him and watch Him do the dot connection. You are the person that taught me that I am not the square peg trying to fit in the round hole in my prophetic gifting. I am so very grateful for you and I am a partner with you but because of unemployment I have not been able to contribute. one of the things I wanna do is get a job and continue being your partner financially as well as in prayer .thank you Doug for your obedience to the Lord my life is one of them it has been greatly changed for his glory,

I,am sure that the common thread will be – lord how do I deserve this blessing and what’s so special about me and real soon . Put fear to bed – Love conquers All fear . Let go and let God was never so real as right now ! Feel him out . Go seek his presence and find wonder …. God bless ✝️
