Healing for Wounded Hearts and Receiving the Father’s Blessing

We are on a healing journey

Emotional healing is tied to your physical healing.

We are an integrated system designed by God to operate with love—the Greatest Commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:29-31).

Knowing who God really is

God is a loving Father who is not out to judge or harm you (Luke 11:11–12).

He is not angry with you, and He longs to relate to you like a father does with his children.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8 NIV

Receiving the Father’s love

I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:18 NIV

The Lord is calling us to get healed of any wounds that are hindering us from receiving His love. He is calling us to become true sons and daughters and to step up and take our authority.

It is a season to mature and grow as a true heir of heavenly authority and who we are in Christ.

We must learn to operate with humility and not in pride or ruling over others.

The Lord values those who love

“On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. Malachi 3:17 NIV

This means they will open the way of the Lord to others and be sought after for their love and humility.

Our biggest attack is the fatherless or orphan spirit

And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” For the Holy Spirit makes God’s fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!” Romans 8:15–16 TPT

We are living in a time of the fatherless generation.

The orphan spirit is a condition in the hearts of many people. It is the result of the lack of love and the demonstration of a loving father.

The Lord has a calling on your life

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5 NIV

We need to heal the wounded hearts of children (including adults) who have had bad experiences as a child or against authority.

You will need to clean out the old wounds (tombs of death) and then get integrated into your current age and maturity.

Ministering to wounded hearts

The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. Psalm 147:2 NIV

As fathers, mothers, older siblings or leaders, we need to be careful that we are not inadvertently hindering people from coming to the love of Jesus or the understanding that the Father is not mad.

This is a very real condition, and you cannot say to people, “just get over it.”

If you have this condition you will need to work through a process of healing and forgiveness.

Prayer for the wounded heart

Pray this prayer to cut off any generational ties:

Lord, I come before you as Your child and acknowledge that I have been wounded and I have a condition that is holding me in the past.
I am in Your presence and know that in this place my pain and memories cannot overwhelm me.
I choose to forgive the people who have wounded me and realize that forgiving them does not mean I agree with them.
Lord, please shine Your light into the areas where I need help and deeper healing (Isaiah 60:1).
Your Word says that the truth will set me free, so I invite the Spirit of Truth to reveal things in a loving and non-judgmental manner.
Lord, when the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide me into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell what is yet to come. These are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him (John 16:13, 1 Corinthians 2:10, Daniel 2:22).
In Jesus’ name.

Pray this daily for a week or more and notice what the Lord reveals.

Prayer of the Father’s blessings

Most people have not received the blessing of the Father in Heaven or from an earthly father.

I bless you with the blessing of the Father in Heaven (Numbers 6:24–26).

[Tweet “The Lord loves you and is proud of you. When you wanted to give up and quit you did not.“]

The Lord loves you and is proud of you. When you wanted to give up and quit you did not. The fact that you are still alive shows that you are an overcomer and stronger than you realize.

The Lord blesses you and is calling you out of the past seasons of death and into the light of His love. The Father is calling you up to a new level of maturity!

The Lord says, “I call you out of your painful past and into maturity. I am not angry with you, and I am going to move in your life with restoration and healing.”

Blessings,
