In this special excerpt, Doug Addison is back from sabbatical and ministering to the Partners. He releases what the Lord is showing him in this season.

Below are some notes from our Partners-only Monthly Mentoring Session Q&A. These sessions have been recorded and you can access them in full by becoming a Partner today! Find out more at DougAddison.com/Give.

Partner question: When you’re out of money, is it cheating to use a credit card for tithe and offerings?

Doug’s answer: Well, that’s up to you and the Lord. I don’t recommend using a credit card to tithe because that might get you deeper in debt. I would give that to the Lord and ask Him to provide.

We walked through a season years ago, when I came into the Kingdom for the first time, and I needed to tithe. I didn’t have the money to do it, and I was in debt, but I began to pray. Then I began to tithe whatever I could.

I couldn’t do 10% at the time, so I just did what little bit I could. And then, when I put that in the offering, I asked the Lord to increase it, and He did. He increased it over time to where I could get up to 10% and begin to tithe more.

I’d recommend not going into debt because that’s a stronghold.
Sometimes the Lord calls you to do something, and maybe that includes using a credit card… There might be a season, but make sure that there’s a repayment plan or that you have confirmations and different things like that.

Lord, we pray over debt, and we thank You that You are greater than all things. We thank You for the hearts of everybody right now… Release Your strategy, release finances and repayment in Jesus’ name.

Partner question: The enemy has hit me with false documents pertaining to the IRS. Do you have any wisdom for me?

Doug’s answer: Well, first of all, I’m so sorry you’re walking through this legal matter, and getting hit in your finances.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness, that You still stand in the midst of all this.

Stay faithful to the Lord and do your best to find some Bible verses. Bible verses are legal documents, and it may take some time, energy and strategy.

Begin to utilize Bible verses and wisdom. And be sure to get more prayer around you. Ask others to pray with you.

Many people have sown a lot, and you’re in a time of reaping. Now, like I said before, we’re all in different seasons. Some people need to sow right now and shift things, and others are in a time of standing. You need to determine what season you’re in right now.

The Lord will speak to you about it.

Partner question: There is a strong spirit of suicide and suicidal thoughts in my community. What is a strategy to combat this evil?

Doug’s answer: Well, first of all, how terrible. I’m so sorry that you’re going through this.

With people either committing suicide or always wanting to commit suicide, it’s the spirit of death and suicide…

Right now, find a way to be encouraged if you’re around that a lot. You’re going to need greater prayer… Find a couple of people you can text with or do a prayer text group. Just find some more prayer… That’s what I was really sensing when I heard that.

Raise up a greater level of prayer. Even if it’s just two agreeing together, Jesus said it will be done. One can put 1,000 to flight, and two can put 10,000 to flight. So, pray into that.

We just take authority right now. Lord, You take authority over the spirit of death and suicide, and we release life over this. Jesus, you came to give us life and life more abundant. So, we pray for that in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Partner question: Is there a spiritual muzzle on believers, as they said during the COVID outbreak?

Doug’s answer: Well, if there is, take it off. The Lord is the one who has everything.

If you have an attack of a spiritual muzzle, there are some verses that talk about it… If you have an attack of it, remove it right now.

Take off those things that enter and throw them to the cross of Jesus Christ, by the blood of Jesus Christ, and then you can find the verses about it if you need to.

When you see these things, it’s an attack of the enemy, and he gets you to try to believe it’s the Lord.

I just heard this at the Bethel healing rooms… People start believing in the “flu season.”

The “flu season” is not the Lord. There’s actually a season of healing.

The Lord is with us, and He is greater than all things. We just need to come into alignment with Him.

It takes time to do it, but we can do it right now. We just shift everything right now in Jesus’ name.
