Repayment, restoration and healing

One of the biggest parts of this month’s prophetic word—that God is releasing restoration, repayment and healing—is that it’s not limited to time. The Lord is not limited to time. He’s outside of time. He created time.

In Joel 2:25 the Lord says, “I will repay you for the years the locust has eaten.”

And in verse 27, “Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and that there’s no other, and never again will you suffer shame.”

These verses [and those in last week’s episode] all tie in—around repayment and healing.

Notice in verse 27 it says you’ll suffer shame. That means you’ll have to go through healing—on top of the repayment for the years that the locust has eaten.

I feel a witness in my spirit whenever I hear it now, and when I heard this word the first time… Oh my goodness, it’s like a shot of hope and encouragement went through me. The powerful word for this month is that He’s restoring! He’s healing!

 

The double portion

Not only is God bringing healing, He’s bringing a double portion. He’s bringing a double portion! I’m saying it twice because it’s a double portion.

“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” Isaiah 61:7 NIV

Take a look at that Scripture. It’s very powerful because anyone who has gone through double trouble will receive a double blessing!

In the same verse, notice that the subject of shame… it keeps coming up. The Lord is bringing healing to that area.

It doesn’t matter if it’s shame for you, exactly. It just means that the Lord is doing good things right now for us, including  inner healing.

He’s bringing the double blessing for the double portion… double for our trouble.

Prayer: Increase that, Lord. Release Your angels right now. Holy Spirit, release the anointing. Release the plans of the Lord.

He does this quite often, and He will do it over time. Sometimes He does it right away, but He is definitely releasing something right now… over you, over us, your families and your situation.

Prayer: Father, we pray for the plan for us to get through this time. We pray for the healing, the restoration and the repayment. And for the double blessing for our double trouble. We pray for the healing of shame and grief.

There’s a lot of hope deferred, a lot of grief and a lot of things that have happened. So He’s going to do it in different ways.

Prayer: So Father, we thank You for Your goodness. Release a double portion of anointing and a double portion of angels. Thank you, Father, for double understanding and a double blessing.

A double amount doesn’t necessarily mean just finances. We need finances, but it’s also tied with everything right now. It’s tied with your healing and restoration as well.

 

Come away and get rest

Now there’s a key to this right now. A big key is what Jesus said in Mark 6:31. He said, “Come away with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get rest.”

Spend some time with the Lord. You don’t have to do it by yourself. If you look up that verse, he was actually saying that to his group, his disciples. He was calling them away.

So you can start with yourself. “Come away with me to a quiet place and get some rest,” says the Lord. As you do that, He’s going to start healing these areas. But He’s also saying it to small groups. Remember to keep in touch with others as you’re doing this. Don’t be a lone ranger.

Another key is to spend time with the Lord each day. It doesn’t matter how much time, quantity doesn’t matter… quality does.

Just pray as much as you can do, even if it’s just praying continually in tongues. Pray in the spirit. Pray whenever He leads you.

The most important thing right now is to press into Him. And He’s going to bring the result. We will see Him start to fill us with greater joy and strength.

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” Psalm 126:3 NIV

Prayer: Lord, we pray Psalm 126:3, that You have done great things for us and we are filled with joy.

Another powerful verse to pray is Nehemiah 8:10, “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Many people need a shot of encouragement right now and greater strength. I know that we do. And so I’m pressing into this word myself, living this word out—on the good side—saying this is true.

The word of God is true, no matter what it looks like around you. And it really helps to find others who are on the same path as you. That’s why I’m grateful for the InLight Connection Team and the Partners.
