When I was a teenager, I was having a reoccurring nightmare that tormented me for seven years.

I would be dreaming, and suddenly I would be aware of an evil presence. Gripped with fear, I would try to run but would be stuck or only able to move in slow motion. Sometimes I would wake up literally running through my house screaming at the top of my lungs, scaring my family and later my roommates as well.

Just before my nineteenth birthday, I was so stressed out by the nightmare I could not take it any longer. I decided that the next time I had this nightmare I was going to force myself to stay dreaming and face it.

When the nightmare occurred again, I stopped in my tracks and said to myself in the dream, “I am going to stay asleep, I am going to stay asleep!”

This time I really did stay asleep and decided to turn around and take a look at what it was that had been chasing me all these years. As I did, it was like a scene from the movie Poltergeist. Objects in the room began to rise up and I found my own body starting to rise and hover as well.

Though I was terrified I went with it, and suddenly I could see that beyond the dark evil figure was a blinding white light. I woke up in a pool of sweat, but I had total peace.

Wow!

I had just had a supernatural encounter with my fears and overcame something that was trying to hold me back from my destiny. I never had that nightmare again, and my life took a dramatic turn for the good.

I realized that when the enemy comes against you in a nightmare, it is a sign you have a high calling or destiny to fulfill. Why else would the enemy work so hard on scaring you?

But the truth is God’s plans for you are much higher and you can breakthrough the things that have held you back.

As We Take Time To Understand Our Dreams, They Can Be a Huge Impact On Our Destinies!

In another destiny dream I had, I dreamed that someone left a baby in my car. I had no idea who had left it or why.

After I woke up and since I knew that babies represent new things coming, I marked my calendar for 9 months later to watch and prepare. Sure enough, a new strategy came to me over the next few months and within 9 months I had new revelation on how to get out of debt.

Your dreams can be just as impactful as mine are!

God is speaking through dreams right now and often reveals clues about your spiritual gifts and your life calling. Not all dreams are from God but you can learn to discern the difference between them.

Dreams like flying, running or being chased, having a baby, forgetting to get dressed, your teeth coming lose or falling out are just a few Destiny Dreams that reveal specific insight into your calling and season you are in right now.
