People everywhere are dreaming and really want to know what their dreams mean. Dream interpretation does not have to be all that complicated. I’m an expert dream interpreter and have trained thousands of dream interpreters over the last decade. I’d like to help you.

First, not all dreams are from God but God can use any dream, once you understand the basics of how God speaks through night dreams. Here’s what I noticed about different dreams that helps when figuring out the dream’s meaning.

There are times when you remember every detail of a dream and other times you know you dreamed but can’t remember much. Either way, God can seal away the dream’s meaning inside you. Then you live it out later. This concept is found in Job 33:14-18.

I often say “the best dream you can ever have is the one you know you dreamed but you cannot remember the details.” This is because God has sealed it away inside you. You will most likely live it out without having to think about it. God bypasses our natural mind and gives us a spiritual download with instructions. How good is that? I call it “revelation with no obligation!

Here are three other types of dreams we find in the Bible:

The first one is when we remember the dream completely and we know it’s meaning. These are the easy ones. What you dream is what you get. You can find this type in Genesis 30-31 when Jacob was given a dream from God on how to prosper even when his father-in-law was ripping him off.

The second type of dream is one that you remember completely but don’t know it’s meaning. This is the most common type of dream people have. It is similar to Joseph in Genesis 37 when he dreamed that his family would be bowing down and serving him. He remembered the dream but he did not understand its meaning until years later when it came to pass.

The third kind are those dreams we don’t remember any of the details or maybe just a few but still feel the dream is significant. We know we dreamed but can’t remember the details. Job 33:14-17 indicates that God can give us a dream and conceal it from us to keep us from getting prideful.

Here are few steps to understand your dreams:

  • write the dream down even if you don’t understand it
  • pray for divine understanding asking God to reveal the dream’s meaning
  • notice if you are in the dream or observing. Observing dreams are not usually about you unless you are observing yourself
  • if you had to choose 3 to 4 main points of the dream, what would they be? These are usually the main points that simplify the process of interpreting the dream.

I hope this blog helps you gain some insight. After interpreting thousands of dreams, I have developed a four-step strategy that makes dream interpretation easy. You may find it and many other valuable hints in my book Understand Your Dreams Now: Spiritual Dream Interpretation.

Blessings,

doug-sig

I have often felt God communicate with me in my dreams. Mostly I am able to understand His message. There were years though that I had horrible dreams of demons and other satanic creatures chasing me thou I could not move my feet fast enough…the fear of being chased and stalked was palpable. I would awaken dripping in sweat and my heart racing with adrenaline!

Thank you for your blogs! they are of great blessing! I recently had a dream, i just remember a small fraction of it. I was in a subway that was going at great speed and i was with the woman who will be my mother in law (she is a pastor and prophet). I could see more people inside and could see on the outside that it was going really fast but that’s all that i remember. Every time i’ve had a dream regarding them (my future in-laws) has either come to pass or have a spiritual meaning … Can you help me?

This is very timely as I just recently had an awesome dream and now seeing it in 4 points has made it that much more exciting as to what is shaping up in revelation of my destiny in Him and the hope of His calling.

    God bless you richly brother!
Praying for you and yours and a great increase of finances and abundant insight into your next books and speaking engagements in Jesus name.

Ever since I was little I’ve always been the ‘dreamer’ being one of 7 children my sisters and brothers would roll their eye or make fun of me for “one of my made up stories” haha so I stopped sharing my dreams cause no one believed me…
Now I’m 23 and I have written some dreams down, mostly ones from 4 or 6 years ago, life has gotten into the way of me writing down every dream. Mostly cause 98% of my dreams are detailed to the scent, atmospheres, sounds/music, food…down to cracks in the floor (if any) I can remember vividly like I was really there. Sometimes I even feel pain if in my dream I fall down or someone hits me. When I wake up that place on my body with throb.( being hit has only happened a few times is rare now) THIS happens 98% of the year, sometimes I have more then one dream or 1 long one! If I have 2 or more my memory gets hazing but I can still recount fairly well.
My dreams are always action packed whether I’m trying to run from a natural disaster rescuing a child( I don’t have kids) or it’s a musical dream like Alice in wonderland and it’s amazing.
I’ve had only one dream with my husband and I and several dreams about my family and or close friends.
Whoever I tell ppl my dreams I have a captured audience. My dreams are like movies that haven’t been made.
A few years ago I was attacked with horrible filthy dreams, nightmares constantly but I was delivered from that in a sozo.
Anyways I have always wondered if there are ppl out there with this same gift? Dreaming all the time…? Sometimes I ask Holy Spirit to help me discern my dream but most of the time and this isn’t good I stopped cause I have so many and in such great detail. I just wake up and smile( if it was a good one and thank Jesus for a lovely dream) or pray that my mind be guarded against any attack if it wasn’t a dream of my Papa!
So yeah I dream all the time!

Thanks Doug.I am a dreamer one characteristic of my dreams is that I am always around the royal family (Iam African living in UK)eg being married by one of the princes amidst a lot of opposition, eating on the table at the Queen’s palace and her telling me I m part of the family, entering into a plane with the 2 young princes going for a G8 meeting, being the president’s deputy of my country etc.
Recently I am dreaming either very pregnant and walking being aware my waters will break anytime, following day i dream im in que waiting to deliver but my baby comes unexpectedly and he is a huge boy. Alternatively im being handed a car by my pastor (2dreams).
Do these say anything about my destiny?

    Hi Doug
Thank you so much once again for your blogs ,they are a blessing to me. They kept me going even while I was going thru a ” wilderness” experience last, my son and I looked forward to them for strength .
What blessed me the most about this one is that last month as I was fasting I would go to bed hoping to have a prophetic dream of some sort ( I normally do) but to my disappointment all my dreams for the whole fasting time were totally erased from my memory as soon as I open my eyes!!! This worried me so much! So this blog / explanation is a relief to me and praise God for you MoG cos now with this knowledge ,if I forget my dream I will rejoice in that!!

    Thank you!

I had a dream I was standing in a pasture with a woman when someone shot food over into the field the woman picked up the food it was industrial roll of Bologna, slab of beef and another meat which i cant recall as she was picking it up she was looking out into the field I said they feeding you by canon still looking I saw a black cow coming with the boneless flesh of another cow on his back. Then i looked to my right saw pigs on a track all running with the boneless flesh of pigs on there back some had distorted faces. then I said you don’t have to work for nothing it just comes to you then I looked down and there was like a small ring around me with squid worms and grimy things as I reached down I said I’m tired of eating the same thing what does this mean?
