We had a rainy New Year on the mountain but the sun finally came out. Christmas and holidays are nice, visiting friends and all but it is nice to get back in the swing of things. ?I spent my time between Christmas and New years writing and finishing up a new course that will be out in July on discovering destiny and bringing radical change. It has been a 4 year project with over 1000 hours of research and writing.
Linda and I live in a cabin that has a history of angelic activity. Many who have stayed here in the past have commented on what they call a Scribe Angel that hangs out in the loft. Well I am writing this from my loft office and I must say that there are times when I am divinely inspired and I can feel the presence of God quite strongly. So much so, that I often write all night and sleep until noon.
My neighbor and friend, Larry Randolph has the same experience of getting into a writing jag that goes all night. Funny though, we are never able to write on the same night. Either he is writing and I can not, or visa versa. This leads me to believe that there must be only 1 Scribe Angel on this part of our mountain. Larry and I got to talking and we think that maybe it is one of Rick Joyner?s writing angels that is still here on assignment even though he moved to Port Mills, SC. I think Rick has angels all over the place with as many books as he has written. Until then, I am happy just to split one.
Last week in a prayer meeting I saw 2-3 angels come in and start taking notes on what was being said and prayed. I heard the words “scribe angels.” I have never heard of that term before so I googled it and came directly to this word…a Word from 10 years ago! The Lord is bringing around so many things right now from 10 years ago…2007…but that would be a whole other comment! Thank you for posting this. I have been so blessed by many years by your words and teachings. I even got to meet you briefly in Hamilton Ontario a couple of years ago.
How cool! I love this Tracy! Yes, Doug had some awesome times at Hamilton with Todd Bentley. We are so glad you found this page :). Bless you!
Yes, this is so helpful. I was at a bed and breakfast called the Londonderry Inn in PA which is owned by believers and is the headquarters of Healing Tree international and felt there was a scribe angel and a writer angel there. Are they normally one and the same?
Hey Lydia! This is what Doug says about the difference between the scribe angel and the writer angel.
“We see in Hebrews 1:14 that Angels are sent to serve us. They serve based on our gifts and calling. This is why there are warring angels, angels of intercession and even writing.
The difference between a scribe and a writer is that scribes record great detail and sometimes do it for others (like the book of Revelation- John got the visions but a scribe wrote it down for him)
Some of the prophets were also scribes that record facts, details and history. Example is Ezra and Habakkuk 2: Then the Lord replied:
“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.
There there are those who “write a book” based on revelation or things God is speaking to them. Like in Jeremiah 30:2 (NIV)
I am scribe because I journal detail each day (5,000 words) about how God speaks and what is happening. But I become a writer when I have to …. Jeremiah 30:2 (NIV) “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.”
Hope that help! God bless you!
Ok, that is so helpful! Thanks!
Great! I’m so glad! Bless you!
Hi Doug,
My name is Blake Fite and I am the author of Echoes of Newtown. My book is a fiction Christian novel that helps kids process loss. It has an ancient orphan creed that needs to be decoded in future books in the series. I believe in Scribe Angels, prophetic dreams, and the idea humans senses are largely underutilized. Have a great day! Sincerely, Blake Fite
