Let me tell you about the advantages to writing smaller books and using Print on Demand (POD) services to get them out to people more quickly at a relatively low cost. I have written two full length books (over 200 pages) and several smaller books (under 100 pages). Bigger books are great but you normally have to invest in 1,000 or more printed copies which can be expensive. I have found that more people buy and read my smaller books than the big ones.
If you have a message you want to get out to the world, I highly recommend releasing it in a shorter form or even an e-Book. In this brief video I talk about the advantages of Print on Demand (POD). You can print smaller quantities without breaking the bank. In my book Write a Book Quickly: Unlock Your Creative Spirit, I go into more detail about the advantages of self-publish verses a publishing company and Print on Demand services, eBooks, etc.

Doug, I found this to be true. I just sent my book in for print on demand. I finally found a place to print in small quantity and the process went well. This three year project has now been completed! The name of the book is ‘Transforming Lives, Transforming Cities.”
