Why Personal Revival Makes Breakthrough Easy

Many people have been crying out to God and praying for revival! Did you know that revival comes when we first experience God in our own lives?

As we experience our own personal revival, it will overflow and change those around us. When they see our lives filled with hearing God, healing, supernatural encounters and love, they will want what we have.

The key to your breakthrough

This happened to me and the results were astounding. I was struggling to get a breakthrough and was not seeing the fullness of God in my life. Then the Lord gave me a strategy that seemed too simple to be true.

I was shocked when the Lord told me that the key to my healing and the struggles I was going through could be solved rather easily. Understanding His love is all we need. Jesus told us that the greatest commandment of all times involves loving God, ourselves and others.

God’s solution seemed so very basic and simple, but once I got this reality into my life everything changed. I got healed of two major chronic illnesses and started hearing His voice much more clearly.

Making it easy

Many people have lost track of the most important things the Lord has told us to do.  Because of this, we now need a revival in our own lives to get back to the basics of demonstrating God’s love and power to ourselves and those around us!

Jesus said, “Come, follow me…” (Matthew 4:19 NIV). Jesus is making the same invitation to you today. No matter where you are, He is inviting you to go deeper with Him.

As we follow the Lord on this journey, we will discover who God really is: Love

(1 John 4:8). As we do this, we will have a personal encounter with the Lord that leads to personal revival!

Jesus also said, “Love God with all your heart and with all your soul and … love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37–39 NIV). Some Christians have difficulty leading with a message of love to our neighbors like Jesus did. Instead, they try to lead people to Jesus by telling them they’re going to hell unless they pray the Sinner’s Prayer and begin attending a church.

We must learn to love others just as Jesus first loved us. Once people understand that God is not angry with them and that He loves them beyond what they might realize, they become excited about Jesus and are more willing to accept His love!

Some of Jesus’ final words were, “Teach them to do all the things I have told you” (Matthew 28:20 NLV). Before we can teach others the ways of Jesus, we must learn His ways for ourselves. There are simple ways we can begin experiencing personal revival in our own lives.

Keys to personal revival

Spend time with the Lord on a regular basis by reading the Bible. If your Bible study seems dry, try changing to a modern translation like The Passion Translation. Keep track of the Bible verses that speak to you or validate needs you have.

Talk with the Lord as you would to a loving father or friend. Try going beyond praying through a laundry list of needs. Instead, have personal conversations with the Lord. Relate with God as a loving father and understand that God loves you and does not want to harm you. He is not angry at you or punishing you.

It’s time to ignite revival!

Revival starts with you! God wants to ignite a personal revival in your life, so you can kindle that same spark in others until it becomes a bigger fire and ultimately changes the world!

I dreamt I was on a train to work. Very tired so I fell asleep. When I awoke, I passed my stop and the stop was called Fairclough way at the time 8.05am. I am supposed to get to work at 8.30am so I said O no I am going to be late. The train continued on and it approached a wall where I thought no this will crash because it cannot go through the wall, but to my relief it stopped there.
There are a number of thoughts in my head concerning this dream.

I am so overjoyed someone else has heard the same thing. The Holy Spirit also told me the key to my health problems, everything, was love. He also added worship for me though but explained that how I lived my life was an act of worship. The only thing that was different for me is I had to start out in prayer and encounter versus reading the Bible. It is not like I was unfamiliar with the Bible though. Reading the Bible was very difficult because I had been taught God loved me less because I was a woman so I saw that everywhere in the Bible which took me away from God. I also struggled with the presentation of God as legalistic and condemning…saw that everywhere too in the Bible which only made me hurt more. But when I prayed, worshipped Him and spent time in a propehtic community I was able to experience Him through a route that could reach me. Now, because of some healing, I can read the Bible differently but it is still a struggle because of these teachings sometimes. I am not sure if people realize that when you have been beaten down with the Bible, it is really hard to read it from anything more than that beaten down perspective. It truly is the Holy Spirit leading me in my reading and to beautiful people that has made the difference in my life….you know…love. Lol. Hugs to all of you!

I understand what you mean Apryl. I am so happy that you pushed through and are now able to see how God loves you and is not condemning you. I pray that as you complete your healing in this, that you are able to help many others get healed of having a legalistic view of God. God bless you!

It used to be so easy for me to love the unloveable and I understand that the Holy Spirit is the strongest over any in the world… I need a strategy to a 450lb woman that lives with me who is self admitted, practices witchcraft, puts curses on people. I have finally after 2 of the 4 years that she and her husband have lived with me, they are moving out by this weekend. They have most of their stuff out and into a new place but have decided to linger here for the remainder of the month which is thankfully just a few days away. I feel it in my legs when she curses me. I break it off with the blood of Jesus… A prophet told me 2 years ago her aim is to take my life and I know God wont allow that. My dog is like a child to me and is more of a concern for these last few days. Would’ve been nice if I could’ve been what they needed to recieve Jesus, and I really did try for a long time. Now, I find myself just being satisfied with surviving the whole ordeal for so long, and on many days, like today its difficult even thinking about trying to love them. If you could pray for all of us Im in agreement that they be saved. Thank You and God Bless.

So very true Doug. . . Yesterday I spent the prior 48 hours in the Spirit with the Lord talking to me about my life and the loss of my brother and my then estranged family. I was so filled I could not sleep but was ignited to listen. To share just a glimpse of something very profound we don’t typically understand because of historical teachings, he said: “What is innocent is everlasting. What is not is destroyed.” Then he brought me to Jesus’ words in John 3. What is Spirit is spirit and what is flesh is flesh. He has shared many things about salvation and hell that we don’t understand in modern western thinking. Man condemns more than what is condemned. In a nut shell: Jesus does not destroy his own image but will separate the mars from his image and preserve his talents. God Bless… Thanks for being a daily encouragement. You shine brother…

Bless you Margaret. God loves you and is with you. Psalm 25:8 TPT says, “When people turn to you, they discover how easy you are to please—so faithful and true! Joyfully you teach them the proper path, even when they go astray.” I hope that encourages you Margaret!

You are right on with word you have given. Bless you. I just got done reading your latest book. I couldn’t put it down. I find it interesting that I could smell flowers while I read it and the presence of the Lord. I pray that one day I will get to meet you in person. In fact I will add it to my want list that God has asked me to make.
    Have a blessed day.
