Cultivating Hope in a Season of Suffering | Doug Addison with Abi Stumvoll [Episode 88]

Do you feel like your life has been torched?

New life is coming.

Your season of suffering will not last forever … and it has not gone unnoticed. The tears that you’ve cried are being heard in the Courts of Heaven in this season.

You may be one of the many people in the world who have hope deferred, but you’ll find out there’s a way to experience hope again, even if a specific desire is not yet fulfilled.

In this Spirit Connection episode, my special guest is Abi Stumvoll. When she was 12 years old she prayed, “If you can teach me how to love myself, I will change the world.”

Her simple prayer ignited an incredible adventure of uncovering the power of God’s amazing love. Abi and her husband Justin are Life Consultants and host The Connected Life podcast—the beautiful and messy ups and downs of life. Her passion is to teach others how to encounter unconditional love, become wildly free and experience abundant life.

Today, Abi and I share stories about God’s faithfulness when we went through long periods of suffering … which has enabled us to help others who are in seasons of discouragement, despair and torment.

We release words of hope and life that will help you, no matter what your situation.

You’ll learn how to grieve your suffering and still keep your heart soft towards the Lord for quicker healing and restoration.

Towards the end, we do tag-team prayer and release prophetic words of healing and freedom over you.

You’ll get practical tips to keep hope in your life through seasons of difficulty … while you break through to living the abundant life that God has for you!

Such a powerful message, thank you. Very timely too for the body of Christ generally it seems. I am so encouraged by what you both say here and it has confirmed a strategy that come to mind a few days ago and has given me a clear way forward. God Bless you, Doug, and Abi.

Hi Doug, This podcast brought me so much healing it was as if God was speaking directly to me. I have been in a five year season of watching my oldest daughter destroy herself with Meth addiction. This message just gave me so much life to my soul and new hope. Your ministry has touched my life over the past 2 years. Thank you!!!

Thank you so very much for this podcast. God knew exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in March, 2019. I am preparing for Stem Cell Transplant possibly on July 26. I thought when my 17 year old daughter died in 1993, God had brought me through the worst suffering I have ever encountered and set my feet on solid ground. I have taught His Word , His promises ever since. I thought I wad doing everything right and then this happens……i did not realize until I heard this podcast that I had placed expectations on God’s deliverance. It is all about His love for me, for us all. Not fear of punishment. (1John 4:18-19). Thank you to Abi as well. Again thank you, thank you.
