First, my InLight Connection team and I want to say how deeply sad we are for all the losses and trouble people are going through. We’re praying for you!
The coronavirus is stirring fear in the air right now. Many people across the U.S and around the world are confined to their homes, and it’s hard to see an end in sight.
But better days are coming! Here’s what you can do in the meantime.
Decide in the morning what kind of day you’re going to have.
Set your expectations early that—no matter what kind of curveballs life throws your way—you’re going to trust God and keep walking forward in faith.
Meditate on Bible verses like this one:
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NIV
Declaring Bible verses like these early in the morning can help you set positive expectations for the coming day.
Let your boredom fuel your creativity.
When is the last time you turned off the TV, turned off the music or the radio, unplugged from entertainment of any kind—and just let yourself be bored?
Many people are not even aware that they stay busy in order to numb the pain of boredom. Deep inside, we all want to know more about why we are here and contribute to something that is greater than ourselves.
God is now stirring a new wave of creativity within us. But you have to quiet down for a moment so you can hear what He is saying to you.
Set personal boundaries with your housemates.
Spending more time with the people in your house than normal? Even though we love our families very much, it’s natural to need time away from each other sometimes so we can be on our own. It’s hard to do that when you’re all stuck in the house.
Take some time to talk with your housemates about personal boundaries. Communication and respect go a long way!
Living by yourself and feeling isolated? You’re not alone!
Do you live alone? We at InLight Connection are here for you. Please interact on our social media pages to experience our thriving online community during this time of social distancing and self-isolation. Remember, you are not alone.
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 NIV
God has not forgotten about you—and we won’t either! You are loved!
Take some time to unplug from the “noise.”
Right now, the news, social media and even regular conversations are centered around the latest coronavirus updates. It’s enough to keep the anxiety flowing throughout your household.
Take a break one day a week from the news and social media. Use this time to write down how you’re feeling, meditate and pray, or even just do something fun with your family!
Take it one day at a time.
These are stressful times but worrying won’t help speed things up!
Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matthew 6:27 NIV
Take this moment to really appreciate every minute of your life. Do you have what you need for this moment?
Thank God for all of it! Thank Him for the roof over your head today, the clothes on your back today and the food in your belly today. Then let tomorrow worry about itself.
We’re going to make it through this.
Don’t give up! I know things feel impossible right now. But with God, all things are possible!
Be at peace. You will make it through this. This is not the end of the world, and we are not all going to die. This storm is going to pass!
Now hang on and watch God move on your behalf!
Blessings,
Doug Addison

The Time to rejoice is right now , yes make a considered conscience decision to rejoice . Sing a new song from your heart , make a joyful noise . Sing praise , declare the word , stand on your measure of Faith and praise ye the lord . This will change you , put on the whole armour of God and in this time unlike any other you will prosper . Keep your eye on the prize , do not look to the left or the right , God can not only steer you well and whole but on the other side you will be New , invigorated and blessed . Don’t give in , and smile .
Woohoo! Yes!
Thank you would love to be included in the 7 days of breaking fear.
