3 Strategies for Peace That Surpasses All Understanding

It’s hard to have peace that surpasses all understanding when the world seems to have gone completely crazy.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 7 NIV

The enemy is trying to bring fear and terror into the world. He’s not only doing this through things like the global pandemic, but even through politics and how we interact with one another online and in public.

But there is good news in the midst of this! We can do something to break off this spirit of fear and terror and increase your power and peace. Here are three strategies you can use right now.

3 Strategies You Can Use Right Now

1. Stay on the offense instead of the defense.

Remember that you have authority in God! Ask God to remove the attacks of the enemy but be careful not to enter into unnecessary battles. Keep your focus on the Lord and remember that you have the high ground. This will give you that peace that surpasses all understanding.

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16 NIV

2. Our battle is not with other people.

It’s important not to spend our time blaming others for what’s wrong in the world. Sometimes we can even get angry with God. The enemy wants to shift your focus from the real issues by getting you distracted.

If you have been angry with God or other people, it may be time to slow down and take a time-out. Ask God to help you focus your eyes back on Him and all the good things He has for you and others!

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

3. There is power in agreement.

You are not in this alone! Reach out to those around you, and ask them to join you in powerful, positive and passionate prayer.

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20 NIV

When I got these prayer strategies in June 2016, I was still very sick. I am now 95% healed because of prayer strategies just like the ones I’ve shared with you. I’ve seen storms turn back and major national and international change during my prayer times—and that’s just the beginning!

These strategies are not just for intercessors, but for anyone who has suffered losses and for those who are tired of turning on the news and hearing about yet another tragedy.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, “God is moving behind the scenes!” The Lord’s will for you is to have peace that surpasses all understanding—even as the storm rages around you!
