Keys to Transition into the New Season

The key to getting through and preparing for the new year is found in shifting your focus to joy!

No matter how you might feel or how things look, it is important to keep your perspective. The Lord is still on His Throne and in charge. He has not forgotten you!

The Joy of the Lord is your strength

… Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10 NIV

There is such a heavy spiritual atmosphere over the world right now and that can block us from hearing the Lord and flowing in His blessings.

The Lord spoke to me, “… time to change your mourning to joy! And the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

As you do this you will be breaking through the clouds of confusion and despair. We are going to shift from surviving to thriving … but there is a tractional time to get there.

You can open this up right now to align with what God is doing by focusing on the aspects of the Lord—love, joy and peace.

Bridge to the new season

The Lord showed me a vision on a “bridge of transition” that is going to take you into the new season.

The name on the bridge is Ecclesiastes 3:1–2.

To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 NKJV

We all need to walk through a time of transition into the new season. But first, we need to die to the things of the old.

A lot of things have been trying to keep us down in the old season—sickness, despair, death, depression, anxiety and fear, to name a few.

2020-2021 was a time that the Lord used to prune you and prepare you for the greater things ahead.

This is not the end. In fact, it is the beginning of a new season of the promises of the Lord.

I know it might not feel like it right now, but the Lord is going to use everything together for good. God is bringing some major promotions and an increase of authority, especially in prayer and intercession.

God is releasing new power over the enemy and the things that have overcome you in the past will start losing power over you.

The Lord is going to turn your mourning and despair into joy and praise. This is going to be activated by worshipping and stepping into joy, even if you don’t feel like it.

Let go of the past season

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!
Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

The Lord’s word for you is to let go of the past and move forward to the new things—even if you don’t see them yet.

Let go of the past and take the Ecclesiastes 3:1–2 Bridge of Transition.

As you die to the old things the Lord is going to meet you with a joyous birth of new strength and encouragement. He is breaking off despair and hopelessness and bringing you into a new season.

Bible verse to pray and decree

Consider praying and decreeing this Bible verse over the next week or more.

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 NKJV

Ask the Lord to show you if there is anything you need to die to.

Do this with joy. Replace your despair with worship and singing. This will open the presence of the Lord over you in new ways.

Happy New Year & Blessings!
