Who Can Walk the Highway of Holiness?

In this special excerpt, Bonnie Jones shares some recent downloads she received while sitting with the Lord.

Below are some notes from our Partners-only Monthly Mentoring Session. These sessions have been recorded and you can access them by becoming a Partner today! Find out more at DougAddison.com/TimeOff.

Bonnie started out the session by saying that the Lord is calling us to holiness. The Lord has been speaking to her about “I Am” this year. She heard the Lord say, “You will know Me as I Am.”

The Lord is showing Himself strong and He wants His bride to know Him in power and might … You can’t have one without the other!

Bonnie went on to say that she’s seen people operate in power but not in might (or vice versa). She reminded the Partners that we really need to speak what God gives us.

She mentioned her husband, Bob Jones, saying that he was on a totally different level. He would often have words for people when they were just walking down the street.

There were times when Bob would say that people were trying to “pull his chain” by asking him to prophesy. If the Lord gave him something, he would prophesy, but he wasn’t just going to make something up. That would be witchcraft and divination.

Bonnie agreed with the Lord that if He gives her something, she will say it too. It was a reminder to the Partners to be careful and obedient. If people think you’re dull because you don’t have a word at the time, don’t worry about it!

Bonnie would rather wait and see what God has to say … She mentioned how Habakkuk brought his petition before the Lord and then waited to see what He would say. When the Lord spoke, Habakkuk released that word into the air.

Your word has power!

Make sure you have the word of the Lord before you release it and then you’ll see the action take place.

Bonnie also heard the Lord say that He wants His bride to know Him in power and might. Again—you can’t have one without the other.

Power is Kingdom authority. Might is the demonstration of Kingdom power. It’s the spoken word in agreement with Holy Spirit.

Bonnie mentioned these two verses:

So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6 NIV

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10 NKJV

We need to be obedient to the Lord! We need to hear Him, seek Him, and gain understanding! It’s a crucial time! Be sure to ask something of the Lord every day!

Bonnie shared that she writes to the Lord and asks, “What is on Your heart today? Will You share it with me?” This will change your thinking, and you will learn the Lord’s ways.

When you know the Lord’s ways, then you can walk in them, and you can lead others.

Our way is usually selfish and self-centered … Sometimes the Lord’s way is the way of loneliness, but it’s the highway of holiness. You may be the only one on the Lord’s way!

The Lord is preparing His bride for holiness!

Bonnie challenged the Partners by saying, “Who can walk the highway of holiness? Are you ready to pay the price? Are you willing to hold the Lord’s hand and walk through fire? Are you able to stand the heat?”

Sometimes when you’re going through trials, it feels like the Lord is turning up the heat. He probably is because He wants to refine you. You will come out as a precious stone. Don’t forget that no matter what the trial is, the Lord is right there walking through the fire with you.

Are you able to stand the heat? There is pressure on the earth like never before because of ungodliness.

Some other questions were these:

  • Who can walk the extra mile for his brother?
  • Who can carry their brother when they can no longer walk? (Sometimes we have the tendency to put our blinders up and just keep walking.)
  • Who will stand in the gap for the unborn and the unsaved?

Bonnie heard the Lord say, “I’m calling My bride to repentance so she can no longer sit idly by and let the whole world languish. The bride must arise and let My light shine forth from her.”

Bonnie finished the session by mentioning Isaiah 60:1 (KJV): Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

It’s time for the bride to arise and shine!
