Healing Prayer for Spirit, Soul & Body

In this special excerpt, Doug Addison is back from sabbatical and ministering to the Partners. He releases what the Lord is showing him in this season.

Below are some notes from our Partners-only Monthly Mentoring Session. These sessions have been recorded and you can access them in full by becoming a Partner today! Find out more at DougAddison.com/Give.

Partner question: Is there a daily prayer I can pray to position my soul for betterment?

Doug’s answer: Well, ask the Lord for one, but right now I usually try to find a few verses. The ones I just mentioned in this session are probably best unless the Lord gives you something new [You can refer to last week’s excerpt for the verses Doug mentioned].

What I’m seeing right now is commanding things into place, as well as asking the Lord for relief.

Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. Psalm 143:1 NIV

Right now, Lord, we, we pray over this word. We pray over the verses that are so powerful. The word of the Lord is powerful, and we declare it over us in Jesus’ name.

Partner question: Why do some people feel pain as they are being healed through prayer?

Doug’s answer: Well, I don’t know, I’ve never heard of that. But I guess if someone does feel pain while they’re getting healed, the good thing is that they’re getting healed.

It would depend on what type of healing you’re talking about as well. Sometimes it’s a surgery and you’re walking through some pain… The Lord might be doing a surgery.

Sometimes the enemy is trying to mess with you. But if you’re experiencing any type of pain, including emotional, just press into the Lord.

Partner question: Will you say a prayer for all of us?

Doug’s answer: Lord, we just bring these before you and we pray for the healing of our body, soul, spirit, mind, will, emotion and everything. Thank you, Lord.

I just feel the presence of the Lord right now.

Lord, would You increase Your presence? We pray right now for the attacks on people’s minds, and the physical attacks… Also, for the emotional attacks, and the healing of our souls.

I pray right now, Lord, that You would increase Your power and Your presence. Break off discouragement… Though an army besieges, though war breaks out against us, we will not be discouraged. We’re going to be confident. We’re going to stand and command right now.

Lord, command things to be still over us, Psalm 33:9. Command it to be still.

We pray for the salvation of our family members. We pray for the healing of our family members. We pray that there would be no backlash, retaliation, or anything like that. We’re going to focus on the Lord.

We want to put on the full armor each day. We want to declare the words of the Lord each day, and we declare healing and forgiveness. We pray, Lord, that You would raise up the warring angels around us. Release Your presence and Your power.

I’m just going to let that soak for a few minutes here. Thank You, Lord.

We pray for marriages, ministries, finances and family. We pray for governments, countries and the world. We pray that You would do Your work.

No matter what it looks like, the Lord is with us. Be strong and take heart. Put your hope in the Lord.

Angels are being assigned right now. Thank You, Lord!

Thank you to the Partners of InLight Connection and to everyone who follows this ministry. We’re so grateful to you all.
