Question #1

What is the meaning of the Tree of Life, in regard to hope deferred makes the heart sick.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 NIV

Doug’s response

A tree of life is found in Genesis and we don’t see it again until Revelation 22. Think about the tree in the Garden of Eden, which deepens its roots down in the Lord. So, a tree of life would be the connection with the Lord, getting your roots down. In other words, it’s no longer in the barren land. It’s no longer in the wilderness, but it’s now being released into the tree of the Lord. Thank you, Father.

The Tree of Life is opposite of what we saw in the Garden of Eden, which was the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. We see it again in the book of Revelation 22, the Tree of Life, and we see it throughout the times. It’s really just talking about getting your roots down in the Lord and operating under the Spirit of Truth. Great question!

Dream

In a dream, Cindy Jacobs told me to get a job selling all-terrain vehicles. How would you interpret this?

Doug’s dream interpretation

When you see someone like that, a known prophet, it’s a prophetic word from the Lord. I love this one, because the all-terrain vehicle is a vehicle that can go into all terrain. In other words: flexibility; there’s ability to move in the Holy Spirit, and it can go off-road. It’s not just a regular vehicle, but vehicles represent gifts, callings and ministries.

I’ll receive the all-terrain vehicle, to be able to go, to have a ministry, calling or anointing. You don’t have to have a regular 501(c)(3) ministry, but just a ministry to be able to operate in all terrains. That’s a great one!

Question #2

What are some strategies you’re using to pray through the recent financial difficulties?

Doug’s response

I don’t really have a specific strategy right now, except crying out to God. We’re crying out to God for repayment. I use Bible verses. Linda and I keep a list of prayer requests and we pray each day.

I pray, take communion and decree Bible verses, as the Lord begins to show them to me, for the restoration of health and finances. The Lord is doing something new; press in for repayment of everything. I think the most powerful thing right now is to bring everything under the Lord. These are some of the Bible verses I received:

2 Corinthians 10:4 NKJ – For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

Ephesians 6:12 NIV – For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Jeremiah 30:17 ESV – For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’

Prayer

Father, we pray over this for the level of repayment and emotional healing needed. Remind us to go back and listen to this again, writing down these powerful Bible verses—decreeing and praying them. Father, we pray for Your anointing and the release of all of these things, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
