Position: Visual Designer—POSITION FILLED

Status: Part-time, 15–20 hours per week

Location: Virtual contractor position, within the U.S. or Canada only

Overview of Position
Design & Product Development
-
Create from concept to final product the visual content needed for websites, sales pages, promotional materials, advertising, social media and products, including cover designs for books and more.
Visual Creative Strategy & Problem Solving
-
Able to see the big picture of our product development and content strategies and develop ideas that help brand, promote and sell products as well as solve problems visually.
Team Collaboration & Project Organization
-
Must be a team player who takes initiative and actively contributes to the creative life among our content and creative team. Able to juggle multiple projects and prioritize them when there are overlapping deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks Include:
-
Creation of product designs and promotional collateral, including but not limited to: website design, book and product design, sales pages, digital images and banner ads, social media and videos.

Create 3-D images of our store products for our shopping cart and ads.

Find stock photos that align with our brand and further develop them into promotional graphics.

Organize and maintain a database of our graphics and original design files in Dropbox and Basecamp.

Communicate our ministry values and culture through all images.

Be able to provide art direction, specifically taking a leadership role in the re-design of the look and feel of our websites and digital media.

Be well-organized and good with time management and communication.

Create and maintain our digital media style sheet.

Be able to work quickly and efficiently, sometimes on tight deadlines.
Ideal Candidates Will Have the Following Qualifications:
-
At least 3 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A degree in the visual arts, graphic design, or related fields preferred, but not required. Someone who can design from the Spirit, not only a natural perspective.

Experienced with branding and UI/UX design for a job setting.

Be experienced in photo editing and touch up. Agree with the Core Values of InLight Connection and want to help advance the Kingdom of God through Doug Addison’s ministry.

Have a spirit of humility, positivity, remain flexible, be willing and able to handle change, while maintaining grace and poise under pressure.

Be a self-starter, self-manager with a strong work ethic and a “get-it-done” mentality.

Be a team builder who focuses on the success of the entire organization.

Be a strategic thinker and a pro-active problem solver who can execute solutions. Must be technologically savvy and eager to embrace and learn new technology.

Must own a reliable computer (Mac preferred) with appropriate programs needed to perform the above responsibilities.

Be proficient with Adobe design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and more.

Must have high-speed Internet with a backup plan in the event your Internet goes down during a critical deadline.
