The Personal Assistant supports Doug Addison with personal assistance and administrative support, representing Doug Addison and his ministry InLight Connection.
Doug Addison is the founder of InLight Connection and is a prophetic minister, writer, speaker, Life Coach and stand-up comedian. Doug specializes in dream interpretation and helping people discover their destiny. He also ministers in the Hollywood entertainment industry. He is developing an internet-based reality show called the Tattoo Prophet.
Overview of Positon
This position requires personal assistance to Doug Addison. This consists of assisting with various tasks some performed at his office at Venice Beach, CA and parts of the job can be done remotely from your home office. You have to live in Los Angeles.
To be successful in this position, the individual must be fully dedicated and have the following character traits and abilities:
- Loyalty and Commitment, able to maintain the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Organized, able to work independently on multiple projects and with a team when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Balance priorities for the efficient flow of work, with accuracy and timeliness in execution
- Handle complex instructions with care and follow-through.
- Be resourceful, able to problem solve, capable of seeking out new ideas.
- Exhibit initiative and have a proactive, self-driven work ethic.
- Anticipate Doug’s needs, respond accordingly, and keep him updated on progress.
- Pay close attention to detail with minimal errors
- You’ll need to be a multi-tasker and wear a lot of different hats.
Some of the duties may include:
- Organizing
- Calendar
- Research and light writing
- Various Office duties
- Various tasks on Mac computer
- Running errands
- Deposits
- Set up for webcasts and internet training events
- and more
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a personal assistant position with proven skills and abilities.
- Proficient in both Microsoft Office and Mac – excellent computer skills.
- The position will be based in Venice Beach, CA. The days and times are flexible and will be agreed upon.
- Hours varies week to week based on Doug’s travel and our current projects.
- Must live in Los Angeles, have reliable transportation and current car insurance policy.
Additional Considerations
There is a difference between working in a corporate versus a ministry environment. It is necessary to understand a “culture of honor” toward Doug and our leadership team.
We require people who have had ministry school training and possibly inner-healing along with the experience and background to hold up under the pressures of a busy active ministry.
We would prefer someone who can give this job her/his full attention. Flexible time is needed as some weeks there is more work than others. We are looking for a long-term relationship with someone who feels called to this by God and not someone who just needs a job or just wants to work for Doug.
