Have you heard prophetic words and messages floating around about the U.S. or world economies crashing? Are you wondering if it is okay to make plans or investments? Listen to what God has been speaking to me and many others about this very subject.

Don’t hold back
I have heard so many people say that they are holding back on decisions, buying houses, moving, taking jobs etc., because they believe the economy is going to crash. That kind of thinking is usually motivated by fear and will actually cause things to crash in your life. This is a time to step out in faith.

There is a difference between fear and wisdom. When you are motivated by fear you will not have a plan. This can cause you to hesitate or hold back and possibly miss God’s timing. There are times that you may need to use wisdom and put things on hold. But this usually comes with peace (not fear) and God confirms it with a plan or solution.

I live on a fault line
God called us to live in Los Angeles in the midst of all the negative prophecies that California would one day fall into the ocean. My office is in Venice, California and I drive by a sign every day that says, “Entering Tsunami Hazard Zone.” I am not fearful at all because the safest place for you to be is the place God calls you to. Just your presence in a place can shift the spiritual atmosphere and change the course of history.

God is looking for people to be world changers who will boldly stand in the gap for justice and mercy. Jesus prayed, “On earth as is it in Heaven.” We need to come into agreement with God’s plans of revival and restoration.

Seven years of blessings
Last January I released the prophetic words God gave me for the year 2015. One of the words that is important to pay attention to is the seven years of blessing we are now entering.

We are now in a strategic time of God repaying us for losses in our lives. We have entered into a seven-year time of mercy and blessings from 2015–2022. Again, this does not mean that we will not see disasters or have difficult times, but God’s mercy is going to triumph over judgment.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.” Isaiah 60:1 NIV

It truly is a year of breakthrough for us all and I will say it again: God has issued a new seven-year season of blessing from 2015–2022. For the most part, it is the result of the prophetic intercessors crying out for mercy. In place of prophetic words of judgment that have been spoken, for the next seven years God is releasing the fulfillment of prophetic words that are based in revival and blessing. This does not mean that the world will end after 2022.

You will see many of your personal promises fulfilled over the next seven years as well.

Realignment is important
Realigning into the right place to receive God’s blessing is important. You may need to make a shift in associations to get out of limiting situations. This might be with people, organizations, geographic places or jobs. Many people have been under a condition of spiritual confinement. Some of you have been negatively influenced by people around you, and that has prevented you from moving forward. As you take steps you will see shackles fall off and new freedom emerge.

So use wisdom but don’t hold back due to fear. As you seek God for your plans of breakthrough you will be surprised by the new levels of favor and your rapid advancement.

This is a time of repayment so don’t hold back or hide! Plan long, be wise and move forward.

Blessings,

Once again amazed at God’s goodness and mercy revealed to his own through His servant Doug.
I feel like Isaac who looking at the natural circumstances around him in Genesis 26 would have made decisions contrary to what the Lord had in mind for him. His ability to hearken to the voice of The Lord brought him increase and might to the extent of the Philistines envying him!
Lord cause us to move at Your prompting and leading in Jesus Name.

Thanks again Doug! This is a word I needed today. I love how God does that. This has been my prayer. I do not want to be held back by any fear or negative influences in my life. I know God is faithful to answer. I really appreciate your insight and experiences! Thanks for sharing!

Hello Doug. I felt in your words a fighting spirit, standing tall for God’s words. Thank you. What came to mind when reading this was that God’s people walk in their own strength, make their own decisions and act on them whereas the Lord wants us to listen to Him, be led by the Holy Spirit so He can direct our lives along the path He has for each one of us. If we listen and act on self we can take ourselves off this path, then wonder why things aren’t going right, or are fearful, anxious and eventually suffer. He does not want us to suffer but sometimes we go through this to get us back on track, or learn more about Him and His love, or know His truth when we didn’t before and a host of other things. Listen to the Holy Spirit. He loves to talk to us and lead us in the right direction. He waits for us to listen and know He is there, doing what is good and right for us. You won’t believe the life God has for you all. It’s wonderful, fulfilling and blessed as we walk hand in hand with Him. It’s beyond your imagination of your future. Seek God in all things. Seek Him first. Look for Him during your day. He’s there. He’s always there. Life is good with Him, even the hard moments. Don’t be afraid of change. All the Lord has for you, you will be ready for and equipped even if you don’t feel as though you are. He knows you far beyond anyone else and yourself and He knows, without doubt was is right and good for each one of us.

Thank you Doug. You are always a blessing to me. I pray the Lord will continue giving you the strength you need to do His will, and flood you with wisdom that comes from no man. The times He spends with you gives Him much joy and looks forward to every moment you spend together. As I was writing this, I heard the words ” My son, My son” as I saw the both of you sitting together. Oh what love He has for you. It was quite overwhelming for me to see it.
    God bless you, absolutely!!

    Jane

Fabulous! I am definately in a season of moving up. My boss is suddenly out on medical leave and her boss retired a week later. I am running the ship so to speak. I also had a former colleague request me to return to a place of work where I held a leadership position. They want me to lead their team again.
I am seeking God and waiting for the unfolding of His revelation in this decision making process. I will keep in mind the environment that allows the most freedom to have Christ revealed in me to others. I write my dreams and am trying to look for common threads.
Your dream course is greatly needed!
Thanks for the encouragement to see this as a time of right alignment with God and to welcome this dilemma.

I especially liked what you said about God calling you “to live in Los Angeles…because the safest place for you to be is the place God calls you to.”

  10. Julie Doran says:

So encouraging yet again! We are days away from building to commence on our house and boy we have gone through a season of ‘will we – won’t we” for a long time and did almost pull the pin. But – I realised the confusion and doubts were fear based. God speaks from His nature, not fear.

I felt lead to think last Sunday in church of the end of times and god’s protection for everyone going forward to the tribulation time of 7 years! Putting on the armor of God.

  14. Gwen Johnson says:

Thanks, Doug, for your prophetic word. When I retired this year, I felt such peace and joy and release! I was able to to pay off a lot of high interest bills; and contribute to God’s Kingdom and share with others at my church. I am now being healed from imperfect love to God’s perfect love, and who I am in Christ! I was fearful of staying in my home. But I serve notice to the enemy that this is my house and he has no right to be here. Please pray and agree with me that the enemy has no authority over what God has blessed me with. May you continue to be open to the Holy Spirit!
