Are Your Blessings Backlogged?

I have been talking a lot about being repaid for all that was lost. Some people are reporting that they are receiving their blessings, while others may still be experiencing a backlog or clog in their lives. Here are a few things that may help open blessings over your life.

Sink clog dream
I had a dream just this week in which an over-controlling father was harsh to his family. In the dream everyone respected and honored the man even though he was mean and hurt people. His sink drain was backed-up and I had to step in and remove the old debris and open things up.

I knew the meaning of the dream was that God is revealing places in which we need deeper healing with our image of God the Father. Backed up drains can be a prophetic symbol of unforgiveness.

Modern parable in a movie
Last February I released this revelation in a blog and feel it is also significant for this time:

I watched the movie The Judge with Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. It was a sad and depressing story about a father who was a judge and was not kind to his children. His children did not flourish and longed for a blessing from their father. The father’s harsh judgments had made him sick and destroyed the lives of people around him.

God spoke to me that this is the condition of many Christians today. People who view God as a judge tend to treat others harshly and it is a misrepresentation of the loving Father in Heaven.

Parents and spiritual parents hold the key to revival. As we humble ourselves and reach out to our children then healing will come. The Spirit of Elijah (Luke 1:17) is coming to turn the hearts of the parents to the children.

A dividing line is here as God is revealing His true nature to people and calling us to be humble and love others.

Love conquers all
Over the past few years my message to the world has been one of love. Jesus said that the greatest commandment of all is to love God, love your neighbor and love yourself (Matthew 22:37-39).

The evidence or fruit of love in a person’s life is pretty obvious. Love overcomes.
Love casts out fear. Love conquers all. Love covers over a multitude of sin.

Forgive and you will be forgiven
Jesus spoke about how judging others and forgiveness is directly tied to us receiving a blessing.

Luke 6:37-38 NIV
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

One of the major things that you can do today that will radically change your life is to find someone different than you and show them an act of kindness.

This is a time to reconcile relationships and clear the spiritual atmosphere. Forgiving and loving unconditionally is what is needed for us to move into the new season at hand. As you do this, a backlog of blessing will begin to flow into your life.

Blessings,

Thankyou Doug for this word and all the words you obediently release! This post allowed The Holy Spirit to bring to my attention yet more areas of unforgiveness in me. I have been going through deep healing for about 2 years now and thought I had forgiven every person/situation possible. God always heals layer by layer and in His time. I feel strongly that I am on the threshold of a breakthrough in a few areas of my life but it seems to be held up. I hope dealing with these issues in my heart will unblock the blockage!

Doug – Thank you for this article/post. I have had 2 dreams regarding plumbing. Both in the bathroom, and with the toilet. The last one was the week before this article. The water coming up and all over the floor was clear and the bathroom was white. The last dream had a digital map display next to the toilet (on right side), and it had a good amount of red on the map. It looked like a hotel map. There was a red arrow pointing into the toilet right in front of me. Clear water all over the floor. So I plunged it in my thoughts, but not in action in the dream, and the map cleared and the red areas that were lit up disappeared. There was an individual in both dreams. I didn’t understand the dream, but I got some in site from your article. Any more in site would do, but I will be in prayer.
    Thank you God Bless

Dear Doug, the dreams which you mentioned above are literally Real situation in my life concerning my father, he is mean, rude and stops my blessings often in many ways and he is a lawyer too. I try my best to love him but there is pain in my heart forever.. Will this stop my blessing from God?

God is opening up to me more insight to locate my need. I have always been diligent to forgive. I always look for that. Just now realizing something else. My parents and my older sister were very controlling, manipulating, intimidating. As a result, I find myself resisting authority, being paranoid that they will try to manipulate me for their own ends. This very thing has happened many times over the years. I am now going to believe that God will give me more emotional healing in this area, and leadership I can trust. Thanks.

I am having a hard time forgiving some people that really deeply hurt me. I’ve prayed for them and for a forgiving heart. I feel like I’ve forgiven them but then when I think of what they did I can feel the anger and hurt raising up inside me. Any suggestions on how to get through this? Especially when they continue to hurt me?

You dont have to agree with the people who hurt you. The fact that those who hurt you are “still hurting you” in a sense. Forgiving them will release this. IT is sometimes a process. Release them into God’s hands. This will free you from the jail of hurt. Praying for you

Great article, though I’m finding it hard to keep my faith for the blessing God promised me. I’ve been desperately praying for a baby for 9 years after i was tricked into a hysterectomy. I’ve had so many signs that God will give me this baby. Even Mark Chironna confirmed this for me three years ago. How long to i keep believing and how many more of my friends do i watch give birth while dying inside.

Hi Doug! God sure is talking to all of us. I had a PLUMBING BLOCKAGE dream this week too: I toss a thick, perfectly round egg-white omelet down the toilet. Though left uneaten in the fridge it isn’t spoiled, just overlooked. I let it slide off the plate to quickly dump it. Just as I unconsciously flush it and the food is snatched away to begin its descent down through the system, I am alarmed to see that it has become hard and the toilet will need to break it apart to make it pass, an impossible task. Awareness is too late too fast to stop the damage it will cause. The toilet noisily tries to process it, like a garbage disposal making a valiant but brief attempt to “chew” a round layer-cake size chunk of concrete. When it can go no further, the sound of breaking-up stops completely and I’m left with possibility of tearing down the house as my only option to get things moving again.

This is such great prophetic insight. Thank you for your obedience and service. I have been in season of waiting. This opened my eyes to the harsh ways I have not extended grace to those close to me. Immediately, after reading this I felt the Lord speak to me that I just need to love them on their walk and let him take care of the rest. I do not feel the need to force his instruction, but just let his peace abound through love and kindness.

“Love conquers all” I’ve been seeing this a lot lately. God wants me to continue to show loving kindness to my estranged husband.

I also have to stop judging a friend of mine for the way she is behaving in the situation she’s in. It’s hard because she knows better and knows what God wants her to do, yet she’s being rebellious.

Thank you so much for posting this. It is a huge help and encouragement.

    God bless you!

    Blessings Doug,

Your post is so timely and I receive it! When in a position to receive many blessings from our Father in Heaven this is always a good place to stop and reevaluate where we are in Him. I thank God for you and the GREAT encouragement you and your ministry are bringing to the world!!! Glory to God!!!

I want to thank you so much too, Doug. At the start of this year, you said that we should make a list of things lost or stolen over the last years, as this was the year for return. These past years have been beyond difficult for us in many more ways than one. So a little story… 2 years ago my husband and daughters bought me a beautiful new camera for Mother’s Day. The first one that I had ever had brand new as my very own. Six months later it disappeared. And I was so upset about it. I never stopped praying regarding that camera. And the Lord game me dreams about finding it. And even my daughter and some friends too. A year and a half later (just last month), my husband and 8 yr old daughter were in the back shed hauling stuff out to put aside for a garage sale. My daughter came to me with something in her hand and low and behold, it was my camera! That camera went through 2 winters of temperatures that at times were -40 (we live in northern Canada)! And it works as if it was brand new! It didn’t even destroy the battery!!!!! The Lord indeed has begun to return and restore and this was the very first sign for me!!! Also thank you Angel and Doug for your comments on your children and training them up. I would like to ask for prayer as I am also struggling with my 16 year old daughter. And have been very down on myself as a parent. I need prayer for standing strong and yet in love without losing my temper. It’s become a temptation. So much pressure. I needed you transparency this very morning Angel and remember that I am not alone in this. And that I must not grow weary while doing good…raising up a godly heritage. And Doug, the reminder to remain I love and forgiveness. Thank you for praying.

I have been actively pursing healing for decades and still have a hard seeing God as father. There have been some breakthroughs but it still lingers. I have forgiven my Dad and ex husband many times yet I am unable to feel God’s presence and understand his goodness.

Wow this article brought stuff up again my father was very controlling and selfish when I first started to read this article I started to cry and closed it. I came back to it. Several years ago my mom was dying and my father had a million dollar piece of property that he had several offers on but he wouldn’t sell because he wanted more money for it. My mother was dying, I took off work to care for her. He could have sold the property and financially helped but he choose not to out of greed . It was important to me that my mother got the care she deserved my older brother stepped in to help pay for some nursing care for my mom. Shortly after my mom died my father sold the property and bought himself a 40k dollar sports car at 78. It hurt and made me angry. I have forgiven him for many things but the fact that this came up again I know there is more So I am working through forgiveness at another level

I love your prophetic insights.. im finding it hard to know if im judging my daughter at the moment or just dissappointed in her behaviour. No matter how i help her she still insists on being disrespectul and extremely ungreatful. This blog has made me question myself.. the way she is behaving has resulted in me being reluctant to help her. I help her with her up and business. However i reluctantly her with my grandchildren as she uses me. The children are aware of her schemes and get very upset resulting in me having to look after a grumpy little boy. Yet when i ask them to come otherwise theyre happy.

We had a similar experience and outcome with our youngest son. When Doug shared what the Lord said to him, we received that word and applied it. Today this same son is healing, maturing, and has a clear vision for his life! Only God could pull that off, but WE had to trust and obey Him, and agree with Him on earth as it is in heaven. Never lose hope, dear Sister!

Angel thanks for your transparency. Years ago I went through something with my daughter. God showed me to love unconditionally and she would come back around. As hard as it was, indeed 10 years later she did just that. She told me that it was my accepting and encouraging her that helped her through her dark time. You are the anchor for her.
