The Kingdom of God Invades New Age Festivals

Carter once heard the Lord say, “I want you to go to the fairgrounds where the Health and Harmony Festival is right now and take someone with you. The New Age festival was only two blocks away from his church.

When they arrived, it was packed, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. There were more people there than at the regular fair! During that first visit, the Lord had Carter just go around and perceive. And the Lord pressed upon his heart that the people there were seekers.

Carter wanted to minister, but he wasn’t sure how to go about it. Someone told him to call Doug Addison, and Doug came and trained them. At the next festival, they put up booths. They had a healing tent, a “spiritual reading” tent, a dream interpretation tent and a prophetic art tent.

They were all newbies in this type of evangelism, but God did a profound work and changed the lives and hearts of so many!

Everyone who came to their tents was just looking for a word from the spirit. People were getting saved and rocked by the Holy Spirit!

Carter had the thought that this was the greatest thing that had ever happened in his entire life!

At one point, a man all dressed in all black came by the tents. He wanted to know who they were, and they said, “We’re people who love God, and we’re doing what He told us to do.”

The man went into each tent and afterward he told them he was the keynote speaker of the entire festival. He had never had people tell him so much before! He felt like they had “read his mail,” although he didn’t use that term. He had visited all the booths at the festival and theirs was the one where he received the most.

Before finding out any details, the evangelists told him who he was, and what was going on in his life. At the end, he went away shaking his head in disbelief.

Carter believes we’re living in a day where this sort of thing is going to happen again! It’s possible!

The reality of the Kingdom of God was so strong on their evangelism team. No one could deny that God and the Kingdom are real!

Carter says he wants to live there.

For him, those two years of ministering were amazing seasons of breakthrough. But he wouldn’t have had those wonderful experiences if he hadn’t said yes to that first out-of-the-box invitation from the Lord.
