At 5:55 a.m. on August 1^st an angel of grace woke me up by its very presence, standing in my room. The angel spoke these words: “It’s time to cross over.” I knew that this messenger from God was talking about crossing over to a new spiritual time where things that God has promised are going to begin to take place at an accelerated pace with a greater amount of God’s provision.

“But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valley that drinks rain from heaven.” Deuteronomy 11:11 NIV

The very things that God has promised are now starting to be revealed. I believe the angel’s timing is instructive: 5:55 a.m. because the number five represents grace. It will take extra grace because God is moving on people right now in ways that may seem strange and unusual. We are going to see a revival but it will not be the way we think. Some Christians have become too legalistic and rule-oriented. God is calling for a high degree of grace for people who have been rejected and hurt by religion.

There is a connection with 2004 and now
There was a major interruption in what God began doing back in 2004. Many people were not ready for the level of His power and love. God took many people into a time of wilderness and they have felt forgotten. But God has not forgotten what He has promised you. Things that started in 2004 but then stopped are coming back around once again. It may not happen in the same way or as you expect but God is now beginning to fulfill these prophetic promises at a higher level than before.

August through September is a time of completion
August is a transitional month. It is the last month of the Jewish calendar as Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, falls in September. August is the 8^th month on our calendar and eight represents new beginnings.

We are transitioning now through September 25^th and bringing closure to an old season. Between now and September 25 is a strategic time to complete things that God has called us to do. After September 25^th (Yom Kippur, The Day of Atonement), God will be releasing new assignments, gifts and promotions that will initiate a great deal of movement at a Kingdom level.

Finding new ways to operate

God has been speaking to me all year about the need for us all to find a new way to operate as individual Christians, churches, and businesses. Here are a few examples of how we can do this. It is easy to see that many people have a negative view of Christianity today. We can help change this by demonstrating God’s love and power to people around us everywhere we go. One-by-one we can have positive, spirit-lead encounters that will get people’s attention on the fact that God loves and cares about them. Use your prophetic gift of encouragement on people around you in your everyday life.

Here’s another example of finding new ways to operate in our spiritual gifts. One of my stronger gifts is hearing God. Over ten years ago I discovered that I could get short, accurate prophetic words for people really quickly. I used it to train others as a means of sharing God’s love.

“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” Hebrews 5:14 NIV

As in Hebrews 5:14, by constantly using your prophetic gifts you can train yourself to discern and hear God’s voice. Plus, the more you practice at anything, the better you will get at it. My prophetic teams and I would stand in front of people and receive short, to-the-point words from God.

Just recently I applied this same ability to my Twitter posts for each day of the month. Once a month during my quiet time with God, just as if I were standing in front of a person, I stand in front of a future day and get short to-the-point daily prophetic words. I get them for the entire month, weeks in advance and release them daily later. I am getting more positive feedback over these short 2-line words than for my full prophetic articles I release each month on my blog. By finding new ways to operate in your current spiritual gifts, you have the potential to touch more people at a greater level than you may realize.

Focus on what we do best
This is a time to begin to focus on what we do best. Many people have been generalists, that is, “all things to all people.” It is time to begin to do the things that we were created to do. So what are the things you do best? If you don’t know, ask God to show you. Ask people around you and start taking notes and journaling about what brings passion and has the most results. These are hidden clues. Begin to narrow your focus on what you do best and train yourself (for example: read a book, take a class). Use your God-given spiritual gifts and train yourself as if you were training for a race or the Olympics.

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” 1 Corinthians 9:24 NIV

Watchmen on the wall
I have been awakened at 3 a.m. several times over the past month. I heard God speak Ezekiel 3:17 about the need to have prophetic watchmen on the wall. We are in a time right now where God is calling us back to the prophetic watch. Many prophetic intercessors have fallen asleep or focused too much on watching for judgment. This is a time to watch and pray to stop tragedies, release blessings, and gain prophetic insight from Heaven. Amos 3:7 says that God does not do anything without first revealing it to His prophets. We need prophetic intercessors like never before. Watch for strategies and revelation to be revealed through dreams over the next few months.

I pray that God would reveal how you can easily cross over and take advantage of this new time for God to bless you in what you do best. I am so encouraged to be reshaping an old gift and re-tooling it for the Kingdom in a new way. My hope is that you are encouraged as well!

Doug: I thank God for you and your stick-to-it-ness with your gifting. You have been reading my mail for years. The past two years I have been so overwhelmingly busy with a 9-5 job (and I know it’s training but my spirit feels so dead at times) and I pop in to hear your webcast or read the monthly blog and the things you’re prophesying I have either just gone through or I am in the middle of going through and its just like yes, I’m still on course. Then for the past few weeks the 1:11 and 11:11 kept popping out at me. I read the usual scriptures that God has given me (Deut 1:11; Deut 11:11-12; Josh 1:11; Jer 1:11) but Josh 1:11 is the one that jumped out at me. The last time God gave that to me and it really spoke to me, He moved me into my promised land. Now it’s been three years and I feel empty and like nothing is going on. I read your blog and bingo, right on track again. It’s encouraging to know that even when you feel like you’re so in the world, you are still right in the palm of His hand. In the beginning of the Jewish New Year last year, I was fretting and saying Lord, you’ve showed me the land for this orphanage ranch and I don’t want it to be gone, or I miss it, or someone else gets it. God gave me Deut 11:11-12 for this Jewish calendar year. I knew God had his eyes on the land, and He would make sure to watch over it. Thank you Doug. Thank your wife for sharing you with the Body of Christ. PS: Question… I’m a born again tongue talking, prophesying Jew and I don’t get why the Jews celebrate the New Year in September when clearly the Word says in Ex 12:1-2 that Passover is the first month of the year for His people. So we’ve both got it wrong again. Not January – Not September… I’m just saying…

Wow, this is a Word right from the throne of God. The Lord really began to deal with me in 2004. He’s given me glimpses of things that, have quite honestly, overwhelmed me. This word blesses me in so many ways, one being that I’ve had days when I’ve looked at the clock starting @ 10:10 through 5:55. (thank You Jesus that I’m saved from the other #s) LOL. In 2004 I began recording a CD and for some reason I have not been able to complete it, YET! I’ve lost a lot of “things” and so called friends, but I haven’t lost my faith. God is yet on the throne, and I know that He has begun a good work in me AND will complete it. Thank you for allowing God to speak through you. Blessings, Myra.

This speaks to me personally … it was in 2004 when everything fell apart in my marriage … but that was no surprise to God … every prophetic word that was given to me is coming to pass … I am so amazed at how God is using this word at this time in my life for He is doing this new thing right know … It started on July 29 in Reno … then In August He released me from the church that I had been attending since 2008 … I do see how the changes that I allowed Him to make in me as brought me to, today .. I attended another meeting in Reno on Aug 11th and then will be going back on Sept 1st … I do see great changes … I am so thankful that I did not pull back … but pushed forward in Him. It is true … If you have not love … that has been my cry for so long … to love others with His love … He has done it … So very thankful … God Bless You

Greetings to you in the Mighty name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
First of all I would like to give thanks for your great work which you are doing great work in your Area. Please let us introduce ourselves to you. We, Ratnam & Deena Valluri, we are doing the great gospel work in the remote and tribal villages of my surrounding areas. We have been involved in this village outreach work for the last 7 years and we have been trying very hard to take the gospel to these village people groups who are illiterate and superstitious.
Most of the villages we are working in are remote and tribal villages which have no access to electricity, safety drinking water, schools, medical care and also no proper roads to reach to them. We have to walk to some villages. It’s very challenging to reach these unreached, down trodden and unprivileged villages. Kindly pray for us to reach more villages with the gospel and to plant some good churches.
Kindly remember these poorest of the poor, needy and unprivileged people to come to know Jesus Christ! We have a team of 25 hard working and dedicated evangelists, gospel workers and pastors who go to the above said villages once in a month and reach the unreached tribal villages. Kindly pray for this team would be an effective instrumental in reaching these people groups with the gospel
As I go to different villages for the gospel work, I come across with lots of poor, needy, destitute and orphan children who have no access to going to school and even they starved for food and clothes. Several children are being forced by their poor and sick parents to go and work as bond laborers in brick making companies and quarries.
Kindly join with us in reaching these precious little children. This all we are doing right now. Kindly pray for us and remember us in your daily prayers. We are extending our warm welcome to you to come to India and be a great blessing for the millions of lost souls in the villages of India.
Together we can make a big difference and reach millions with the gospel. Please pray for us and plan for a short term mission trip to India. Thank you very much and eagerly waiting for your kind reply.

Your blogs ALWAYS speak to me in a big way! I have had constant DRAMA for the past 12 years and have felt like it would never end! Well my whole life really! There were a few brief periods of rest but the issues continue to linger effects that love to rear their ugly heads. I have leaned on and trusted God then got to a point where I felt this was just the way my life was and all it would ever be. But I know that’s not true and that I have worn and torn from constant battles. Please keep posting these they do encourage me 🙂

Truly a confirmation! I am taken back at the accuracy that it has in general things going on….right on down to very specific, personal things in my life. Thank you for being so sensitive to hear His Voice and to share what that Angel of Grace came to tell you… to tell us! Just like the angels that appeared to the Sheppards in the field when Jesus was born. Thank you GOD!

Confirmation to what I have been hearing and seeing. You are right, partner with God and learn to hear from Him. God does speak to His prophets today. And we are all hearing the same thing. A friend called me and told me about the shift, she said she actually felt the move of God shifting us from one place to another. I told her I didn’t feel it but I saw it, the Lord showed me the people He was moving over, and it was very sad because there were only a few in this shift, the majority of the people didn’t get off the ground and as I looked back I saw thousands of lights, and only a few sparsely lights moving over with me. Please if you heart is not totally surrendered to the Lord, make it right now. The great separation has already begun. Will you be counted among the tares or the wheats? God is looking at the Love you have for His people in your heart also. How have you served God by serving His people? This will be one of the rulers God will use to measure your hearts. Love is what God is looking for!

Love your post and how God is using you in a mighty way. This post comes at the most opportune time. I have been getting hammered lately. Under heavy spiritual attack! I have been receiving dreams more and more this past year. Dreams and hearing God speak to me in that still small voice. God has promised me so much and i am looking forward to crossing over for what HE has planned for me and my family. Blessed be His holy name! Still waiting for financial breakthrough so that i can take your courses. I feel that is just a hand reach away. God bless you and your family.

Thank you for that word. I’ve been hearing from God about my gift(s) that it will be used in incredible ways, and that I should not regret past mistakes of how I neglected my gift. God will make up for those times as “He makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him, they that are called according to His purpose.”

YES! YES! YES! Everywhere I look, I’m seeing and hearing the word “transition”. I started a new job (as you forecasted a few months back) in a field which I entered in 2004, and part of my role is “transition specialist”. Just got a new pin issued for a bankcard and I opened the envelope: “555” (Not telling you what bank!:)

Doug. I am always inspired and touch by your prophetic word. It is timely and always blesses me.

My question is , I am a partner and have log in issues again because I forgot to write down what I was sure was easy to remember for your web site and the dream crash course that I bought.
