Prophetic Word: Time of Sifting Turning to Shifting

Gear shiftProphetic Word: Time of Sifting Turning to Shifting
Doug Addison
March 24, 2015

Jesus told Simon Peter in Luke 22:31 “Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.”

When we step into higher callings or promotions, it requires us to go through a time of testing. We have all been going through this. Notice it says, “Satan has asked to sift all of you.” We have ALL been going through a time of shifting and sifting. But this testing time is coming to an end.

God is readjusting Kingdom assignments
Mantles are major callings from God that require years of preparation. Often many people value mantles instead of recognizing God’s assignments. But what we miss is that the Kingdom of God operates more along the lines of assignments.

We are used to hearing about demonic assignments. Satan imitates the things of God. We know that there are angels and that assignments are given to us to advance God’s Kingdom on earth.

An example of this is in Acts 1:8 when Jesus spoke to His followers, the apostles, just before returning to Heaven. He gave them an assignment: they got the power of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:17–18 and they became His witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea. But they never ventured outside of their comfort zones to Samaria and the ends of the earth.

It took ten years for God to raise up others to fulfill the assignment to Samaria. In Acts 8, it was Phillip, a deacon, who went to Samaria. Then in Acts 13, Paul and Barnabas took the message of Jesus to what they considered the ends of the earth.

These were assignments, not mantles. As you step into an assignment and go through the testing, it then develops into spiritual authority. An office or mantle can further be established in your life and ministry. It takes years. And honestly, most people give up.

Our gifts are functions, not titles
When we stay with what God has called us to do then God can promote us into a closer relationship with Him. He grants us greater authority to do the work we are called to on earth.

I am a prophet but it has been decades in the making and it wasn’t until 2010 when it started to take shape.

But after a commissioning time in 2010, I went through three years of extreme rejection. I was banned from speaking in the churches I helped start, people lied against me, there was jealousy and misunderstandings. I had both Christians and the occult praying against me. I ended up very sick, depressed and in debt.

But in 2013 I was given prophetic strategies to get out of debt and the favor of God and man is rapidly returning. Jesus also visited me on August 31, 2013 and gave me new strategies for breakthrough.

If you resist or give up during the testing times, you then adjust back down to the level of authority you can handle in your life. This is God’s grace and love and not a demotion. He does not want you to die—because higher callings can indeed kill you if you are not prepared.

Assignments and callings reshuffled
You have to understand the aspect of assignments to grasp what I am about to share with you. We have assignments and we are being sent by God to fulfill them.

“Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them.” 1 Corinthians 7:17 NIV

I have been seeing assignments being reshuffled and dealt out to new people. This is because others either said no, got under warfare and quit, or whatever. This is the time to ask God for an assignment that has been discarded and the grace to carry it out.

Spiritual promotions
Often times we don’t recognize when we are promoted spiritually. This is because it usually is not announced but suddenly, we feel extra pressure.

Think about taking on more responsibility or getting promoted in your job. You are really encouraged and feel good at first. Then you realize that the new job is stretching you, causing you to learn and use more effort.

This is the same as when you get a spiritual promotion. You move into a new season where you are being stretched. And just like with a job, there might be people who treat you differently or are jealous.

This happens with the demonic realm and you may encounter some “spiritual bullying”. Promotions are major shifts in our life that after you begin to grow more from the experience you settle into the new authority you have in the spirit.

Everything happens to you
The most beneficial thing for you right now is to realize that everything that happens to you is allowed by God to help you mature and grow. Once you realize this, you can gain a higher perspective on your life and the trials you are facing.

Life is never without trying times and pain. The key to it all is how you view it. If you think everything that is happening to is punishment from God, then the enemy has succeeded in short-circuiting your spiritual growth.

If you think bad things happen to you because you must have done something wrong, then you will most likely not get out of the loop of discouragement.

The fastest way to grow and mature is to realize that God loves you and is not your enemy. Begin to see your pain or disappointments as a time of learning.

You can change anything in your life right now by changing the way you view it and how it affects you. Here’s some good news for you: people who have a higher calling and great destiny receive lots of discouragement and setbacks. This is because what you will learn through it all goes into a firm foundation that God can build your tall calling on.

Blessings,

doug-sig

Thank You Doug, for this Word – RIGHT ON TIME. Months ago, I was given a Word that I was being promoted, it was confirmed. After that came a level of warfare and “spiritual bullying” against me through situations, people, even fellow Christians, that has been the most intense I have Ever encountered.
This part of This posted Word, brought clarity and understanding as I have been crying out to GOD asking, “WHAT is this??”

One day in 1997 I knelt to pray in the living room, but before I could say anything, I was made aware of a desire in my soul and flesh to sense something of the presence of the Lord with me. I rightly discerned that this was not God’s desire for me. Then the ram of Lev. 8:18-21, which was the burnt offering came to mind. He had already taught me that this ram represented the priest himself. It’s life blood was poured out around the altar and It was cut in pieces and its parts that contacted the world were washed as well as its inward parts. There appeared to be no good purpose for the use of this ram. Its burning was a stench to those that stood nearby, but it was a sweet-smelling savour to the Lord. It was then totally consumed by the fire. The ram profited nothing from this. So I prayed and asked the Lord to please withhold from me any sensibility of His presence with me, so that I might be there just for Him and not seeking some feeling for myself. I, of course, was thinking just for that moment, but He took it on a grander scale. Totally withdrawing any awareness of Him being with me. This has forced me to hold to His word in Isaiah 41:10; Fear not for I am with you. Also Hebrews 13:5 “—I will never leave you nor forsake you.” and Moses endured as seeing Him who is invisible.

I love the wisdom your messages give me Doug and it certainly explains why things have happened in my life, which is wonderful. However, there’s a flip side – which is less encouraging. I didn’t know about assignments and testing when I washing through some very tough times and so I feel that I cut short the process and know that I didnt complete the assignment. I’m terribly afraid that My assignment is one of the ones being reshuffled because I didn’t complete it – it’s heartbreaking. Can you offer any encouragement for those of us who haven’t seen it through the trials and are terribly upset about it please?
My admiration for people who have stayed with it, such as urself, is extremely high, and I’m grateful for teachers like you. I just don’t often know how to perceive it when I am one of those who missed it.

This blog as all of your blogs are encouraging, uplifting and so informational. Actually, the pain, rejection and the pressure is God’s way of giving us a compliment from heaven of our promotion. The reason I say a compliment is because it’s God’w way of saying that He trust us to handle the mantle or assignment but we have some maturing first. It is also good to know that it takes years and sometimes decades for assignments to be fulfilled from God. This gives me great comfort to know that the years of rejection, pain, jealousy and loss I have been experiencing is what God allows for the preparation of what He has called me to do.

Thank you for your uncomplicated, forthcoming words from a prophetic perspective. They are almost easy to understand void of any language that only some can understand.

I’m certainly not saying anything contrary wise to any other ministry. Everyone has a different slant but yours I can understand more simply as everything dovetails in my life.

My life has not stopped shifting, shaking or sliding since 2009. I lost my house of 38 years, my finances and my mother all in one month. I’ve lived from room to room in Christian homes since. Now, it’s turn around time. Hallelujah!

God has truly been merciful, helping me hold on when I would have given up because of misunderstandings, betrayals, jealousy and lies in the church. To God be the glory, Hus grace and love brings me through. I’m still standing by His grace, the kingdom work is on and God takes the glory for it all. God bless and perfect all that concerns you. Doug, if there ever was revelation needed for today, literally TODAY, it is this posting from you. Never have I seen so many struggles for so many people-believer and unbelievers alike there is no distinction. “The STAINS of the evil one has broken the back of many and the burdens of this world has become far to heavy but I will crush him anytime I (meaning God) so choose”, this prophetic word was spoken to me by Kent Simpson and it holds so true and it fits hand in hand with your words. The things with stains in our lives is they CAN be removed. I have to tell myself that sometimes 50 times a day, I’m not nuts I just need to hear myself say it and believe it. We all have stains and the evil one wants us to believe that these stains are permanent which is nothing but a lie because in this day and age we all know nothing is permanent anymore, only Jesus and His Kingdom. So, all you warriors out there that think you can’t fight one more day you can. Keep your shield of faith up and hang on to your assignment even if your hands are bloody and your body is tired we can do this. I also continue to speak out loud Jeremiah 33:3. It is written, “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things which you do not know.” Whatever verse is important to you say it out loud. Thank you Doug for your awesome revelations that the Holy Spirit lets you share with us. You may not be accepted by many but those of us who do accept you do so with open arms and sincere gratitude because you truly are given throne room strategies and mindsets that help us in this ever changing world.

Doug, thank you for this!! It’s SO helpful and encouraging to me!! And clearly, it is for many of us. I have some understanding concerning the things you wrote about here, and I know we all go through trials and times of testing. I know the higher the call the longer the haul, so to speak. Nevertheless, there’s been such extreme pressure, hardship, and ugliness happening that I’ve been at a loss to fully grasp it all. I’ve been praying and asking the Father to show me and help me understand. It’s been very difficult and discouraging. And then BOOM – this word. It explains a lot. What really caught my attention was the word “sifting.” The Lord recently showed me that’s what is happening to me – a deeper sifting. Everything you expounded on is really an answer to my prayers. Thanks so much for the greater insight. Now I understand. God bless you!

I RECEIVE THIS WORD!!! Thank you so much! I have been waiting for this season to be over. on my 50th birthday 4 years ago I had a dream in which the Lord told me that Satan has asked to sift me as wheat, but He was praying for me. Part 2 of the dream was where I was with a small group of people in the lobby of the World Trade Center. There was a beautiful staircase that I was to climb up to the top. John Paul Jackson told me I could make itto the top but 2 demons have been assigned to me to try to take me down. It has been a rough ride and i remember you encouraging me when I first had these dreams. Many times I was so discouraged i wanted to give up but if not for the grace of God…I declare that this first day of Nissan, the first day of spring the season of sifting is over and I am advancing now and taking back what was taken, hidden, lost or stolen from me!
    Love you! Miss you!

I’m feeling that pressure now. Now I know what it is. I’ve had to say out loud, I’m going to achieve my objective even though I’m frustrated. Woman used hairspray and I have asthma. I asked her nicely if she could spray it outside. No. I later heard her telling the whole clan in caricature how I asked. I walked down the hallway and said I have asthma. The patriarch came towards me and said if you have a medical condition get out. As they saw me calmly studying the Bible it got quiet. The TV didn’t work so they went to bed. I prayed they would have a restful night and awake and have no problem with me. I’m staying up watching the Eclipse on Slooh. There has been more pressure than this but I’m focused on my objectives calm resolutely.

Thank you so much for giving this word, Doug. It gives me more insight on my situation, which is not bad, but extremely uncomfortable and out of my comfort zone. You are right, our assignments are our first priority!
Blessings , and pray God will restore your health completely! Soon! Jesh StG

    Hello Doug,
Thank you so much for your ministry. It’s very encouraging and very accurate. It seems when i read a prophetic post of your it’s the very same words the Lord has spoken to me. My fatherwas an evangelist from Canton, OH. I was at his side when he went to heaven. The last words he spoke were; “Can you hear the music? It so beautiful.” As I walked out of the ICU room it was bitter sweet as I naturally missed him but was so comforted by his words. I dropped my Bible and it opened up to second kings where Elijah drops his mantle of Elisha. I thought perhaps coincidence. Then I got to there house to inform my mom. The phone rang and a prophet was on the other end. He asked for me and read the same scriptures. Though we hadn’t announced his home going That Sunday I went to trinity, hid in the back behind the biggest people I could find as I needed to recieve. BrotherDave was preach I ng and suddenly he sstopped and said the Spirit of God has prompted him to read a scripture. You guessed it same scriptures. For the next 7 years i studied constantly and cared for my I’ll mother. She died in 2008. Suddenly a shift took place. I didn’t fully understand as it felt as if God abandoned me.
In 2013 on Yom Kippur came a breaking point. My life had completely fallen apart. My husband married another woman; we were still married. I lost all fiance all support. My son became rebellious; my family rejected me. I got falsely accused of medicaid fraud; took a polygraph and thought I was cleared. I got down on my knees lifted my hands to heaven and fully surrendered. Suddenly it felt as if tangeble liquid poured onto my head and permeated every fiber of my being. I call it liquid love. Since i have vivid visions dreams and see in the spirit. There have been many times I wanted to give up. I pressed on. Slowly things are being restored. I learned more about authority. I also learned of my spiritual heritage. Instead of German we are Jewish. Also Maria Woodworth Eder was my great grandmother x3. Recently I I had a vision. I was on Santa Rosa beach walking at sunset. Suddenly Jesus was walking with me, holding my hand. He explained in part my call. I’m an RN right now but I know the natural lines up with the spiritual. I have a healing and prophetic assignment; though my gifts aren’t fully mature. I blow the shofar. My brother was Luke warm. I was at his house when he asked me about the shofar. I explained it’s the voice of God…it has many healing properties. He said,”Yeah, right. I’ll believe it when pigs fly.” The next morning I was awakened to a loud hissing noise. I heard him yelling from the garage for me to come. I ran out and there was a pig hot air balloon flying by. He said, “My dog is on his death bed, it over him and
make him better. I said to God (in my head) I can’t do this but you can. I blew the shofar; the dog jumped up, are and drank. He became hyper and hapoy like a puppy. My brother was amazed. This changed both of our lives forever.
Just wanted to share. Have a wonderful and blessed day. I’m so grateful you are healed!!! Hallelujah
