Your Breakthrough Plan from Psalm 32

Many people have been walking through a difficult time and need a breakthrough. I asked the Lord to speak to me from the Bible, and in the midst of the storm, I heard the still small voice of the Lord speak.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.”

I recognized these words from Psalm 32.

As I continued reading, I saw a pattern for how to get a breakthrough. I want to share with you the revelation the Lord gave me through Psalm 32:7-11.

3 secret weapons for troubling times

Lord, you are my secret hiding place, protecting me from these troubles, surrounding me with songs of gladness! Your joyous shouts of rescue release my breakthrough. Psalm 32:7-11 TPT

This verse contains 3 secret weapons to get you through times of trouble. Let’s look at these 3 things and how we can apply them together.

1) Intimacy and love

Pull back and find the secret place, which represents intimacy with the Lord and love.

When you get hit with discouragement or trouble, you will need to do the opposite of what you are feeling.

Take a drive or a walk. Spend a moment with the Lord. It does not have to take long. Just get refocused on God and get your heart centered on His love for you.

2) Songs of gladness

In the moment of trouble, change your music to be more upbeat and positive. Begin to sing in the spirit and remember the promises He has given you.

3) Shouts of joy

You don’t have to actually shout—unless you are able to! The joy of the Lord is your strength!

By releasing love, singing and getting into joy, you will find new strength, and it will shift the spiritual atmosphere over and around you.

Stay close to the Lord and listen

I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” Psalm 32:8–9 TPT

Stay close to the Lord and listen to His voice as He is releasing instruction and will guide you through any difficult time. Combine this with worship songs and be ready to record what He speaks to you.

As you pull back with the Lord, He might show you things you need to repent for or if you need to reconcile a relationship or situation.

Don’t forget to celebrate

So celebrate the goodness of God! He shows this kindness to everyone who is his. Go ahead—shout for joy, all you upright ones who want to please him!  Psalm 32:11 TPT

Recently, I was getting hit by constant warfare. The Lord spoke to me to do these steps and revealed that I was getting hit so hard because I am at the verge of a breakthrough.

I flipped my anger at the enemy into songs of gladness and joyand things have been turning around!

As you celebrate and worship, the Lord will renew your strength and you will find yourself in a new place.

Blessings,
