How to Pick Up Lost Callings

I have a prophetic word for you right now. There is power flowing in small things—get ready for a breakthrough!

Today I will share some tips and insight for you that will help encourage you and keep you on track.

Directional word for now

Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly! Psalm 37:5 TPT 

God is releasing new directions and plans for you right now. Even though it might not be clear just yet—give Him permission to direct you and you will start getting “deposits” or glimpses of what is coming.

This is a time when your assignments for the coming year are being revealed, and some major transitions and shifting of assignments are taking place.

In my prophetic word for October, I shared how the Lord is calling us to ask for the “ancient paths.” 

This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. Jeremiah 6:16-17 NIV 

The ancient paths in the Bible are revelation and understanding of things that have been previously hidden or sealed. Let’s go deeper on how to live this out in your life.

Callings laid down

But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’  Jeremiah 6:16 NIV

Wisdom, revelation and assignments have been offered to people, and just as Jeremiah 6:16 says, some people said, “No, we will not do it.”

The Lord is reconciling the Kingdom and the gifts and callings of those who have said no to them in the past, and their callings are now being redistributed. This is not punishment for them, but is being done for the sake of revival and getting the message of Jesus to the world.

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Romans 11:29 NKJV

Even though the gifts and calling are irrevocable, the Lord can shift the actual anointing and assignment to someone who will use it. The person who had it still has the ability to recover later if they pursue it.

Jesus explains this in the Bags of Gold Parable:

“‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.” Matthew 25:28-29 

Jesus talks about the fact that those who are not operating in their spiritual gifts and abilities lose their assignments—but they can still keep their gifts.

According to Jesus, the ones who get the impartation of those who laid it down will have a greater portion.

Greater assignments

This is a time of the books being balanced in Heaven, and a shifting of the gifts and assignments of those who are not using them or those who have died and gone to Heaven.

These might be small things that may not seem significant, but the payoff will be huge. 

The Lord is calling people to help those in need. Linda and I have done this in secret over the years by supporting widows with part of our tithe and offering. You might be called to do something similar.

You might be called to pray. Right now there is a huge gap to fill the area of prayer and intercession, and God is restoring the Watchmen.

As you ask the Lord for something to do, your greater assignments and callings will unfold more over the next 3 months and even more will be revealed first of the year 2022.
