Stepping Out of Time

In this special excerpt, Bonnie Jones tells her personal testimony about interacting with God outside of time.

Bonnie started out the session by saying that she really felt a burden for this message. When she asked the Lord what that was about, He said, “Stepping out in time.” 

When she asked the Lord to explain, she heard, “We need to be in total alignment with Holy Spirit. He lives outside of time, yet He’s restricted in time through residential entrapment.”

Bonnie went on to say that God created time for us. 

Holy Spirit lives outside of time. But when we’re born again, and we receive Holy Spirit, it’s like He’s stuck inside us. He is there, so it’s like residential entrapment. Bonnie had never thought about it this way.

She also heard that the Lord desires that we step out of time with Him. We step into Holy Spirit like a hand in a glove. We step into His eternal presence and glory and become one with Him in spirit and in truth.

The Lord explained to Bonnie how at night her soul is at rest, and that’s one of the reasons why she has a lot of experiences at night. Her spirit interacts with Holy Spirit and the Lord takes her out of time to have the experiences. 

When we’re awake and doing things in the natural, Holy Spirit often tries to get our attention but we’re busy with other things.

We should live in that eternal realm. We were created in that eternal realm. We are eternal beings, but we live here in time. 

If we allow our soul to go to sleep, so to speak, we’re operating out of our spirit man. Then our spirit will be in agreement with Holy Spirit, and we can step out into that eternal realm.

Your spirit must engage with His. God is eternal as well as holy. When you step into Him, He removes the earthbound residue, and you travel through eternity with Him.

Bonnie mentioned again that during the day, we have a lot of clutter going on and we interact with so many things. But when we’re at rest, the Lord can remove anything that hinders us. And then we travel through eternity with Him.

Eternity is where you originated in the spirit. Eternity is where you were created in the expanse of time. When God sent you (and us) forth, we received our earthly body and form, yet eternity remained in us.

Now the Lord says He wants us to return to our natural state of Him being our original container—and be one with Him. It’s always been available, but the Lord wants us to access this daily. If we do, we will receive greater revelation of Him and understanding of the Word.

Something the Lord led Bonnie to do was this: He would have her sit in silence for an hour, and it was difficult. Sometimes sitting in silence for three minutes was difficult! The first couple of days, all Bonnie could focus on was the ticking of the clock. And her mind was wanting to figure things out and problem-solve. 

After a couple of days, Bonnie disconnected her ticking clock. She was wondering how long she was going to have to do this and if she should do it every morning, noon and night. But the Lord told her that if she did it at night, she’d just fall asleep.

So she went into her living room, and she would just sit with a notepad and pen, ready to write anything the Lord said.

The first couple of days, she didn’t hear anything because she was just trying to settle her mind. And then the Lord told her that for the next 21 days, He wanted her to write the revelations that He would give. And He gave some awesome revelations! Sometimes it was just a sentence or a Scripture, and sometimes it was a visitation.

Quiet yourself before Him so you can receive!

Bonnie went out to her living room to sit with the Lord at whatever time He woke her up. Often, it was at 3 a.m.

Bonnie went on to say that she really wants to walk in His ways and His will. She wants to do things the way God wants and not how she wants.
