Allowing His Light to Shine Through Us

In this special excerpt, Bonnie Jones shares some insight on where we are today and what the Lord is calling us to do.

Bonnie started out the session by reading Isaiah 60:1: Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.

Bonnie said that this verse exemplifies where we’re at today. It’s really dark around the world right now.

You need to be the light in the dark places because His glory is already there!

Make yourself available for all He wants to do through you!

You might need to speak to someone or even just pay something forward … Sometimes the person in front of you at the grocery store might not have enough money. That’s a great opportunity. That’s doing the will of the Father … taking care of the widow and the orphan.

Bonnie challenged the Partners and asked, “What is the Lord really calling us to do?” She mentioned that today is the day of salvation.

People can no longer sit in darkness; they must arise and shine! Allow His light to shine forth!

Allow the Lord’s light to flow through you and His glory to rest upon you.

We need to be the light in the dark place! We need to be so in tune with what Holy Spirit is doing, even when it’s not popular. Often, people don’t want to hear the truth.

Bonnie mentioned how she’d rather have a few authentic people who really want the “meat and potatoes” rather than a church full of people who just want to hear whatever they want to hear. People need to get filled with the Holy Spirit and then be released to go do the greater works.

The Lord told Bonnie many years ago that there’s going to be such a move of Holy Spirit on the Earth—that once somebody gets saved, they are not going to turn back. It’s going to be such a dramatic experience!

Bonnie said she feels that many people are like wounded warriors. Imagine if the Lord stirs your heart to pray for someone and—right in front of you—their arm or leg grows out. What an amazing testimony that will be! People will not be able to deny what God does.

There are still denominations that don’t believe that God still speaks or heals today. Bonnie said, “Can you imagine if one of their family members had a terminal disease and they came across Christ in you, the hope of glory? What if you prayed for that person and they were healed? What would that do to that pastor and that congregation?”

These kinds of things are going to take place, and these kinds of things are already taking place around the world. Often, we see these miracles in third world countries. These places are having great revivals and we’re still over here in the darkness …

It’s up to us to let our light shine. It’s His light! The Lord wants to make a jailbreak; He wants to come out of us!

Bonnie ended the session by saying that we’ve got to end this residential entrapment. We’ve got to be one with Him and He wants to come out and shine forth through us!
