Healing Broken Hearts and Hearing the Lord

Beni Johnson

This past week, our dear friend and mother in the faith Beni Johnson graduated into Heaven with the full victory over her sickness and suffering.

We are praying for Apostle Bill Johnson, the family and Bethel church Redding, CA.

It is not always easy to understand the details behind suffering. It is a mystery that the Lord will reveal to us as we need it.

The mysteries of sickness, suffering and death

Sickness, suffering and death are not from the Lord. People ask how can a loving God allow such things to happen?

The answer is very simple—out of God’s great love for us He never forces Himself on anyone. There is free will. An example of this is that I suffered spiritual, physical and emotional abuse as a child. This was not from my parents but from others.

Those who did bad things to me, you or others had free will and the Lord knows what happened in their lives and He is a just God. There is repayment.

There is a difference with someone like Beni Johnson. She is an example of someone like Jesus who did nothing wrong yet suffered for the greater good.

This is a mystery that the Lord will help you understand. The important thing is to grieve and get through the pain, but be sure to not get angry at the Lord.

My suffering has been extreme

Most people would not believe me if I told them the level of pain and suffering my wife and I have gone through.

I have lost over 12 family members to Huntington’s disease, accidents and cancer. I was diagnosed and healed of Huntington’s and have battled through my 63 years.

Currently, I am the healthiest I have ever been and the closest to the Lord. Linda and I are also the closest we have ever been. I am accountable to an amazing, loving, praying group—Apostle Ché Ahn, Harvest International Ministries and a prophetic council that helps us.

Worldwide favor due to suffering

The favor that I have with my Daily Prophetic Words, Spirit Connection podcast and prophetic words are impacting the entire globe through the internet. But it required me to get through suffering to develop the character of the Lord.

God is still with you and in charge

Stay in prayer and worship, focus on the Lord and refrain from complaining and being fearful. Things are going to shift for you very soon.

we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:2–5 NIV

The apostle Paul spoke about boasting in suffering. Bring this into alignment with Heaven—boast in faith and boast in the Lord!

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Romans 5:3–5 NIV

Suffering produces the character of the Lord which is the foundation that will allow Him to build His glorious house through you. I am speaking prophetically and symbolically.

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Lord needs you and me to not be moved, angry or offended.

Complaining can create a whirlwind

Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed. Psalm 17:3 NIV

We need to be careful how we speak as the Lord is examining our lives right now for the purpose of promotion. It is important to step away from speaking anything that brings division or lacks love and encouragement.

Don’t be a doormat, but at the same time do not come into agreement with the same spirit of anger. Complaining and anger can harden your heart, callous your spirit and hinder your ability to hear the Lord.

Open spiritual eyes and ears

You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.
Matthew 13:14–15 NIV

Jesus talked a lot about having “eyes that see and ears that hear.” The Lord is removing spiritually calloused eyes and blocks to your ability to hear Him.

This will result in getting a heart that understands. The Lord is releasing deep revelation and mysteries.

This is a season to receive the secrets of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 13:11).

Be sure to let go of offenses, speaking against others and any anger (especially against the Lord).

Open your eyes and break fear

“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:16–17 NIV
