The Realm of Interaction with Holy Spirit

In this special excerpt, Sean Smith shares about the realm of interaction that God is releasing and how the spiritual giants of the past did not possess anything different than you and I do.

Sean Smith started out by saying that God is releasing a realm of interaction 

The spiritual giants were spiritual giants not because they possessed something different than you or I. In fact, Sean said that it can be argued that we have a greater proliferation of Bible teaching and understanding than many of the people who have gone before.

Many of the spiritual giants who were used in signs, wonders and revivals didn’t have degrees, but the one thing they did have is a realm of interaction with the Holy Spirit! They understood the mind, will, and affections of the Father. Sean added that this should provoke you to the right kind of jealousy.

Next, Sean highlighted that the Holy Spirit is described as a teacher and a counselor. You wouldn’t put your kids in a class with a teacher who didn’t talk to them. Or you wouldn’t go on a trip when the guide didn’t communicate. These facts should tell us that there must be constant communication with God and not just on Sunday morning!

There is a realm of ongoing interaction!

Some tips from Sean are that you should always be communicating and asking the Holy Spirit where He wants you to go and who He wants you to talk to. Ask Him what He is saying to the barista at Starbucks … and other things such as who you should pray for in your quiet time or where you should invest your money, etc.

Sean reminded us that one of the greatest places to develop our prophetic giftings is in our quiet time.

Two big tips: 

• The secret place is the training space for the marketplace.

• To go deeper in the Holy Spirit, you must come to a revelation of God as your Father.

Many people struggle with the Fatherhood of God because they struggle with an orphan spirit, insecurity, competition or feeling like God is mad at them.

Many people just don’t know God as Father. They know Him as Creator and Sovereign King … What about you?

The Fatherhood of God makes intimacy with the Holy Spirit possible.  

A lot of people are trying to develop intimacy by trying to get prophetic dreams, downloads, and angelic visitations … Sean said he’s all for those things, but you have to have the foundation of the Fatherhood of God.

 Many people also struggle with this concept because they imagine the characteristics of their earthly father onto who God is. You serve a good Father!  

 So, this is where we begin if we want to have intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

 A good thing to pray is, “Reveal to me the Father.”

 In John 14, a disciple of Jesus said, “Show us the father.” Jesus replied that if anyone has seen Him, they have seen the Father. So, if you study the life of Jesus, you’ll get a sense of the Father’s heart.
