Preparing for 2010 by Doug Addison

Preparing for 2010
Doug Addison

This year has been full of ups and downs and a major amount of transition. For me personally it has also held some of the most exciting encounters with God that I have ever experienced. During the biggest downturn economically and some of the absolute toughest times for us financially, God’s presence and power has increased.

Sometimes it may appear as if God’s prophetic promises over our lives are always dangling just out of our reach. Right when we make some headway, there seems to be more warfare, obstacles and even setbacks. Reality is that God does not want to promote us prematurely because with every promotion and advancement comes more responsibility. He will often run us through a test season to see how well we will do with the new authority and anointing He has in mind for us. I went through one of these testing times this year and I got a taste of a new level of prophetic authority that I have not experienced before.

It was not just my prophetic gift that increased; it was a new ability to see God’s will for a situation, individual or a church and work interactively with God’s Heavenly resources of angels and the Holy Spirit to bring it about. Sounds exciting right? Did I mention that there was a greater level of rejection too?

We are stepping into a time of heavenly interaction. Angelic encounters are currently on the increase as God is releasing assignments to angels to work hand-in-hand with the Holy Spirit and other Christians to bring about a radical change for our lives. I am seeing this interaction take place in nearly every meeting I have been part of over the past few months. The interesting part of it is that the angels are coming with specific assignments that are aligning many people up to fulfill a greater purpose in the Kingdom of God.

2010 is a year of fresh new beginnings for many people. Several miraculous turnarounds will begin to happen in the first few months that will add new meaning to the word “spring”. It is a time to change our outlook to the positive promises of God. It will be a year of taking things to the bank, getting out of debt, starting new businesses, ministries, and fulfilling our purpose on a greater level. Like any new move of God you can miss out on it if you are not looking for it.

Prophetic Word: “Set your sights to the direction that God has called you. Make preparations and your advancement that is coming will not be delayed. Make plans and lay the foundation to the new things that I am calling you to. Do not hold back, you will see an increase that will start small and overtake you like a wave. Leave doubt, unbelief, striving, and past hurts behind. This New Year will truly bring a new day.”

I want to invite you to a free webcast on Preparing for 2010 on Wednesday, January 6th at 6:00 pm PST. Click Here for more information.

Have a great Christmas!

Doug – Thanks so much for your encouragement for the new year. I think I’m one of the recipients of the new anointings for late ’09 and 2010 that you’ve been speaking about. At the Castle Rock, CO conference, I received a word about increased spiritual vision. Then in October I had a dream where I was visiting James Goll at his house and he had a word for me about a new career as a “food service courier.” Then I realized that I have been having dreams about people in my sphere of influence – family, friends, work, etc., that have born out to be true. But I need your prophetic advice: one of these dreams concerns the daughter of a dear friend of mine. This girl has a speech impediment, and I think the Lord wants to touch/heal that impediment. (I saw a picture of her and heard the word “Shibboleth”, which I looked up — turns out it comes out of the book of Judges 12, and has to do with a speech impediment.) The trouble is, I don’t want to be the one to bring this up to my friend, as it could be a sensitive topic. I’d rather he bring up the topic of his daughter; that would give me the boldness I need. However, if this doesn’t happen, I don’t want to sit on something the Lord may want me to deliver, as I’ve been learning that God’s action often follows verbal declaration. I know you are extremely busy, but if you have the time, your prophetic wisdom would be much much appreciated. Blessings!

I have to come to know you over the years which started at Blazing Fire Church with Pastor Brent Lokker. There I received a prophectic word that concurred with one given to me two and half years prior, “that god was going to give me ideas to take care of all my financials needs”. I have reviewed my Supply Chain calculations on my Excel spreadsheet and WOW…..I seen and corrected some calculations that were a miss for almost 20 years…..I have done Buying and Planning for major companies like HP, SGI, Seagate, etc. This is not around unless you pay huge amounts of money and a new ERP system…this is simple and you can drive the inventory turns, systimatically and have your suupliers all on the same page……I have been working in wrapping all the loose ends up and everytime I take two steps forward something happens to stop me…..to my family and home…..mental illness, OCD, plumbing backing up costing hundreds of dollars I don’t have, EDD discrepancies, lawsuits, car accident, car breakdowns, and foreclosure for which I have no job yet….everytime I try to submit something to them things change…..but my trust is in Jesus….for two years I have not paid my mortgage and I am still here, working on this idea and trying to get it all up there…working on LinkedIn…..no help from anyone but Jesus and the word I recieve from them He sent….Doug Addison….with the limited resources I feel my spirit is telling me to follow your business teachings……I will be purchasing from your databank so to speak and I thank God for all that He does through you…..it Blesses me so much…..

Hi Doug. I took my kids to see you and Bob Jones minister at a conference in Ohio last January. We all loved you; we still remember and laugh at some of your stories of God speaking to you. I remember that you gave several prophetic words for the year at that conference. The two that God impressed upon me were that women who were unable to bear children would be pregnant and deliver this year, and that people who hadn’t yet met their spouse would meet and marry, and that women who pursued the Lord and whose husbands didn’t, that their husbands would be with them by the end of the year.

I want to tell you that God enabled me to pray those words, and stand on them, for myself and for others. I used them prophetically to encourage people, and to encourage myself. I believe those were God’s words for the year, at least in part, for those I knew. This is what I have seem so far this year. My friend, 37, was engaged on Christmas Eve, to be married in the summer. (She rarely had any dates before this year!) My sister-in-law had a very unexpected baby this year. And, a woman in our church, 39, gave birth to a miracle baby. She said she didn’t even have enough fallopian tubes to support a pregnancy. Notice I said my kids and I attended your conference. My husband, their dad, though saved, isn’t “with” me in the things of the Lord. I was reminding the LOrd of this prophetic word before Christmas. And on 12/23, somehow 🙂 my husband was at worship with me, participating. Youa re a great encouragement in the Lord to me and to others. Thank you. janet shilling

Janet – Thanks for reporting back and encouraging me with the prophetic words I spoke in January 2009. God spoke to me personally at that conference in Ohio set the pace for a great breakthrough in my life and ministry that resulted in 2009 being one of the best years of my entire life. I got more revelation and heavenly experiences than ever and a deeper intimate relationship with God. We can expect a great 2010 for those who pursue it. It does require search and praying in the prophetic promises. What a great testimony of God’s goodness!

Doug, how long will your January podcast last? If you know the definite amount of time, then i can get some contacts of mine to watch online from around the world. Yes, we are often tested, to see if we will cave in to pressure and other desires. There are many churches who reject the word of GOD and follow the same mistakes as other churches, even when they are shown the word in the bible to point out the mistakes. That is why home churches will be the next big thing, where all are kept in check by others in those meetings. We must correct in love and be patient doing it. That also is a gift.

Thanks Doug for the word man. I definitely have been through transitions this year. God has taken through test to make me stronger and bolder and basically to stand up to people. I felt like I had stood up to alot of giants this year but I didn’t back down. I know now God did this because He is preparing me for leadership. You talk about rejection I really felt that from family and friends — being rejected by a stranger who cares and coworkers that aren’t close that didn’t bother me but family and friend that really hurt. Through that rejection I felt like God did this on purpose. I do know how Elijah and other men and women of God felt in the bible and now. I feel we have to go through this to grow. Boy when you see and hear things from God and you are walking in the spirit LIKE YEAH you will be rejected people don’t understand which you wish they would but in the end what God revealed will SPEAK. Thanks for what God has told you about 2010 He has had me to create several businesses and I had know idea until I could see all those businesses is in correlation of one thing He has for me which is my marketplace Ministry. God is so good. Even though this year it seemed like I was alone but I did what He said anyway. He had me to let go of some even some family members. He brought some from my past back to me in a new way. I just see great things MANIFESTED ahead FINALLY because I had already seen it in the spirit.

    Dear Doug,
I am always very encouraged, when I reed your blog, it looks , like I go thro the same battles, that you describe in your articles. In last season it looked for me that i do not fit anywhere in church with my dreams and giftings,I experienced quite a lot setbacks, and rejection, but i have hope for next year, that God will bring me to my place, and I am encouraged to prepare for it, Thank you, you are so preciouis.

Hi Doug! I needed that word! God recently gave me a dream that I would be birthing a new ministry. Then He told me it would be dream interpretation. My Bible Study has been watching your videos for the past few weeks. I am really excited, this is something I would think God can really reach the new age and we desperately need Him in this way in New England. As I have shared this with select few people, I am getting some opposition from the church and shockingly my parents. I would appreciate your prayers and any tips on overcoming not having the support of family. God’s so exciting! Yay!
    Merry Christmas!
