The Special Call of God on Your Life

Carter started off the session by saying that there is something going on right now that is very powerful. If you’ve been paying attention to the news, there’s a lot happening that is not okay. There really is a manifestation of the enemy and he is trying everything to disassemble morality in our generation.

Carter emphasized that the enemy does not win. God wins!

We need to realize that we are chosen, and our calling supersedes our vocation.

You’ve been called by the Holy One, the Holy Spirit. You’ve been called to be wooed into a greater depth of understanding of who He is. You have a full-time calling on your life. Don’t leave it up to your pastors.

Carter talked about how he wants to find intimacy with God, and he wants to hear the heart of God. He wants to ask God, “What are You thinking today? What’s going on? Tell me things I don’t know so I can do the things I can’t yet do.”

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 NIV

Carter went on to say that you’ve been chosen! You are a royal priesthood! God thinks of you as royalty. You are a holy nation … a people of His own possession. He holds us close. 

You are those things, so you can proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

That is identity!

There’s a calling on this generation. Every person has a calling on their life! Regardless of what you do occupationally, every believer around the world has a calling on their life to be a full-time minister. 

Carter read the below verse: 

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. Mark 16:17-18 NIV 

This verse says that these signs will accompany those who believe and in my name they will cast out demons … You will do these things!

There’s testimony after testimony of these kinds of things happening in our generation, especially people who travel internationally. Many people have been targeted to be poisoned and nothing happened … And there are many more examples of Mark 16 in action …  

We live in a Kingdom that’s backing us up! 

As we go in the direction that God tells us to go, we have the backing of Heaven! The Kingdom realm goes with us all the time.

Carter emphasized that we need to adjust our awareness. 

Next, Carter gave a testimony to the Partners: 

In 2002, he woke up one day and heard the Lord say, “I want you to gather the church, the body of Christ together.”

At first, Carter wasn’t sure what that meant. But then the Lord elaborated and said that he should go and talk to the other pastors in the city. Despite doctrinal differences, Carter went and all of the pastors decided not to talk about their doctrinal differences, but just to go after God.

The Lord also showed Carter that they needed to have a prayer time in Sonoma County in Santa Rosa. It took 18 months of planning, but in that process, it got stronger and stronger! 

They ended up renting space at the fairgrounds and they had powerful encounters! 

They had a big tent and 11,000 people walked through those doors. People from thirteen states and four different nations participated and there were signs and wonders… including gold dust! 

Bill Johnson, Banning Leibscher and Heidi Baker were also part of the events … Many people called and asked if they could be a part and just pray … They had amazing prayer times and amazing worship. So many things happened that were out of the box!
