How to Radically Change the World Through Prophecy | Doug Addison with Steve Sjogren [Episode 90]

These days, people are really open to hearing good news.

Why? There are so many tragedies happening all around us. And many people spend more hours connecting with their smartphones than they do with other people … they’re actually lonely.

We’ve wrongly believed that people are afraid of spiritual encounters. But people are hungry to hear good news, connect with other people and receive God’s love and kindness.

In this Spirit Connection episode, my special guest is my friend Steve Sjogren. He’s been one of my mentors, an amazing church planter and he’s traveled the world sharing the message of showing God’s love in a practical way. He and his wife Janie pioneered the modern kindness movement more than 30 years ago when they planted a Vineyard Church in Cincinnati. Steve authored the book Conspiracy of Kindness.

Today, you’ll learn how showing God’s kindness can lead to a radical life change … not only in the receiver, but sometimes even more in the one who gives.

Steve and I share stories about the ways we have combined kindness with the prophetic and seeing people come absolutely undone—and encounter God’s love. Whether you’re brand-new to this and need a simple place to start, or you’ve been doing it for a while and need some advanced strategies … you’ll hear all kinds of fun stuff you can do.

So, regardless of your gifting or experience, you can be involved in bringing God’s loving kindness to a hurting world. Just listen!

Bless you both so much. I was led to come to Las Vegas for four days. I participated in a Hilton Grand vacation presentation. I floored my assigned sales rep. when I presented the idea that Conrad Hilton and his motto was displaying a gift of the Holy Spirit that the desire to present warmth and light to the world is the gift of Hospitality. Which in Greek is love of strangers. I used the same scripture from Romans where Paul said we should offer hospitality. When I took the spiritual gifts inventory I realized that we need to tell other Christians that they operate in the gift of hospitality because sometimes charismatics have made themselves too “mystical”. It is is important to reinforce the idea that by just being kind they are already operating in a gift. I also think it is important for being who are Christian who work in Las Vegas or hotel industry that they are already doing God’s will. I am so excited about RHA and seeing you Doug Jul 14. I am in Hearing God 365. You have blessed me tremendously. Having just moved from CVG area I can totally relate to the cold shoulder from Cincinnati area.
