Embracing the Sabbath Season

A new season 

We are in the new Hebrew calendar year of 5784. 

God is shaking up way more than the enemy could ever shake up! When the enemy shakes things, it’s for destruction … but when God shakes things up, it’s to bring us into perfect alignment with what He’s doing in the Kingdom.

I heard the Lord say, “This is My Sabbath season for My body. I’m bringing My people into the Sabbath. Don’t get caught up with everything, and all the hearsay in the news and all the reports going on. Stay tuned to My voice and the news of Heaven.”

The recent battle 

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1 NIV

2020 to 2023 was not a battle for freedom; it was actually a battle for worship.

Think about the syllable “pan” in the word pandemic. I am reminded of the mythology of the Greek god, Pan, who I call the demonic worship leader. He seduced with his flute—sounds and music—and then came in and destroyed people.

The world, the flesh and the enemy try to seduce. Who are we going to fix our eyes on and worship?

The mind of Christ

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 NIV

People with the transformed mind (with the prophetic perception) no longer seek the will of God, we PROVE the will of God!

We proclaim, we decree and we contend for the prophetic words that the Lord has given to us. Be ready to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Each moment when we experience God, He’s changing the paradigm and He’s fashioning and renewing our minds to think more like Heaven.

In this season, it’s key for us to begin to understand that we as the body of Christ have been given the mind of Christ.

Staying in community 

We have to replace the “me” with the “we” during this season. It’s about this corporate community, and that’s why the InLight Connection community is so powerful.

Being in community is such a key to advancement. Our breakthrough becomes one another’s breakthrough! When one person receives a prophetic word, it is confirmed by two or three … 

In community, we’re able to contend, pray, cultivate and really battle. We see the fruition of the Word birthed through the womb of the spirit.

The Lord is transforming us 

If you ever study the science of how a caterpillar turns to a butterfly, it’s amazing!

During the metamorphosis stage, a caterpillar’s brain actually liquifies. It doesn’t reform, it’s a new creation.

Scientists did a study where they cut a hole into some cocoons and when those butterflies hatched, they were unable to fly. The lack of pressure in the cocoon was the reason. As a caterpillar stretches, an acid is released that infiltrates their DNA and that allows them to form into a butterfly.

So, what am I saying is that there are no shortcuts in the Kingdom!

We go through this process … and many of us are changing from caterpillars into butterflies!  But, unless we have the “butterfly mindset,” we’re not going to realize that we could actually fly.

This is a season for us to grow and fly!

The exact phrase the Lord gave me for this year is, “Heaven’s help is coming!”
