The Importance of the Bride

In this special excerpt, Bonnie Jones shares that God loves us and He has a plan and purpose for all our lives. We are in such an exciting time in history!

Perfect timing 

Bonnie used to think that she wanted to live when Jesus lived and walked the earth so she could be with Him. But you know what’s even greater? He chose each one of us for a specific time in the history of mankind, and He lives in us!  

She charges us to think about that! There’s no place we can go apart from Him. He is within us.

Right now, the Lord has been preparing His bride. We have to choose Him, and choosing Him is really sacrificial. It’s a sacrificial love.

We may choose to be a Christian, but being a Christian is to be Christ-like. 

The Lord is coming for that bride who has really set herself aside, dedicated herself to Him and who becomes the picture of Christ in the earth today.

Don’t be distracted  

Bonnie warns us against being distracted. In today’s world it’s so easy, and she especially spoke about the distraction of cell phones. 

To have face-to-face encounters with God, put all the cares of the world and the world’s systems behind you and walk in unity with the Lord. It’s a choice. We can choose to be as close as we want. Sometimes it’s a moment-by-moment choice. 

Do we really choose to hear His voice and obey it?

Speak the truth in love

Bonnie also reminds us to speak the truth in love. Years ago, the Lord told her that she would speak His Word in spirit and truth by love. It has to be through love!

We need to love God with all our heart and our neighbor as ourselves. Always stay in the Word, this is so important! Become the living Word!

One time, Bobbie Conner (who has memorized so much of the Bible) told Bonnie that if you can’t quote a verse word by word, just BE the Word. Become the Word! Love other people and be kind!

Another reminder is to check everything you hear with Scripture in order to know if it is true or not. Live by the sword of the Lord, which is the Word of God and the Spirit of Truth. That’s where your power will come from. You can never compromise on the Word!
