In this special excerpt, Doug Addison is back from sabbatical and ministering to the Partners. He answers three questions. Below are some notes from our Partners-only Monthly Mentoring Session. Find out more at DougAddison.com/Give.   Partner question: Is there an update on the new wineskin you mentioned previously? Doug’s answer: The new wineskin is a new way to operate, and I haven’t seen it yet. In fact, we’re continuing to pray. The Lord is doing something new right now. The new wineskin is a new strategy, and we need to seek it. Sometimes you have to lay things down in the way you do things … don’t just assume. For example, I’m not assuming that I can just come back to the Daily Prophetic or something like that after being on sabbatical. We are seeking the Lord right now for the new wineskin or the new strategy. Lord, we come into agreement for this. We ask that You would reveal it. There’s a lot in these three verses below that will help you: Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. Psalm 143:1 NIV Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 NIV Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 NIV These verses will help you get focused on the Lord, begin to trust and get rid of fear. The Lord is still here and He’s on the throne! We pray for the new strategy to be released over you … over our partners, over InLight Connection, the church and the world, in Jesus’ name.   Partner question: What are some indications that might let me know I am a "signs prophet?" Doug’s answer: It's a prophetic person who gets words of knowledge, and these words of knowledge are mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12. These are the gifts that are mentioned, and they're demonstrated. Jesus operated in all the gifts. One of the things that you may experience is that you’ll get a word of knowledge or maybe something will happen. A classic example is a pain in the body, and then suddenly someone (or yourself) will get healed of it. The knee could represent prayer or someone who needs prayer … because you get on your knees, or someone needs healing in their knees. A word of knowledge … or a “signs prophet” lives things out. You don't have to be a prophet, but a prophetic person with that gift. It's sometimes confusing because there's not a lot of training on it. But I believe that all of us have access to all the gifts. It's the Holy Spirit tool belt that we put on each day. We call it in right now, Lord, and we call in the training and the understanding of it in Jesus' name.   Partner question: Last month you got new glasses and said new vision is coming. Can you expound on the new vision? Doug’s answer: I did get new glasses and I'm able to see now, that's amazing. There is a new vision coming! This is the time right now that it's the new wine skin that has not yet been revealed. It's the new vision that has not been fully revealed and we’re contending. Press into the Lord! Trust the Lord, even though it might not look the way you think it should look right now. Lord, we ask you to release this right now … Thank you, Lord. We ask you to release the angels, the vision and the healing. I had to go to the optometrist. I kept praying for healing over my eyes … So, if someone needs to go to a doctor or something, or if they need finances or healing in any of the areas of their body… Lord, we pray that You would release that now. We pray for spiritual, physical and emotional healing … and for every situation.     P.S. Doug is back from his sabbatical and ready to lead us into an exciting new year of ministry!
